Fast Lane Restaurant and Takeaway — Restaurant in Manawatū-Whanganui

So the first thing the struck me as odd was the large hot cabinet with a excessive quantity of precooked takeaway foods which had been sitting there for an unknown period of time. Presumably for people in a hurry to grab and go. We opted to order from the menu to get freshly cooked food. We were wrong. The fish was cooked at time of order and the rest was just taken from the questionable cabinet and dumped into paper and rewrapped. So it was barely warm and disappointing. The fish itself was not a type Id ever heard of. The decor was well dated. While I have no doubt there chinese food is probably a much better eating experience, our order of fish, chips and hot dogs became $29...

Food is nice and hot and the staff are so lovely and friendly, there is the option to pick your own food and drink then pay at the counter. There is outdoor seating and table and inside seating available.Though it's a little outdated with internal designs, its still very cozy and family oriented as it's comfortable and they provide condiments on a table near for free for customers to use with their food. Public toilets are also available nearby outside to the left and behind the store. Parking is available outside but it's more first in and first serve to be close but great place to stop in and grab a bite...

Sadly the staff had very poor manners when we went in on Friday. From ordering food to receiving food. Asking for plates was a issue too as we needed 7 because we dined in. Then when we grabbed the plates we got questioned how much people we had.

We avoided asking for cups due to the response we got with the plates.

As we were eating we had the staff staring at us and our children.

As we finished we still cleaned all our mess and packed our dishes and finally the male worker said thank you and smiled at us. Think he was grateful we cleaned up.
