Rosebowl Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Manawatū-Whanganui

The food is pretty much what you'd expect, but the coffee could be way better. I said "extra extra hot", but it wasn't. Admitted - it was rather busy, so I don't want to be too critical. The free water had a nasty after taste, which I really disliked. Compared with central Wellington or Auckland locations, the prices were rather high. I've never really got the OTT prices especially for coffee in Feilding (I once paid over $6!). There's nothing to justify that. Anyway, let's not digress. The taste of the steak and pepper pie was lovely, but the meat was a bit gristly. The place is very large and rather like a canteen - which is lovely for families with kids. Indeed, the Rosebowl is very kid friendly. General verdict: Not my fav place in Feilding, but I'd go again if I had to take kids...

Its just a small cake but it was a short notice order, ordered online & had the option of paying online or in-store which i thought was great. Arranged pick up day & time through the online checkout process, theres options to leave any notes or info you might want them to know as well. Overall super happy with the cake we had made, it was beautifully presented & decorated & my son was really happy with it. The cake was a 15'' round chocolate mud cake with cookies & cream flavoured butter cream icing & topped with drip chocolate, more icing & oreo cookies. The cost of this size & type of cake was $40. Usually my experience is great but today was absolutely terrible, I go in to grab a toastie because I love them, but when I grabbed it, I could see the top bit of the bread was missing and the whole thing was just falling apart so I put it back cause I didn’t want that! Then the lady behind the counter goes “Oh just put it back why don’t ya” I said “ I’m sorry it’s just falling apart” she then looked at me and turned the other way, I have never been so upset with how someone in hospitality has treated me, I spoke to another worker and voiced how I felt I was treated and unfortunately the situation nearly brought me to tears, you’d think rose bowl would want to keep a good reputation being in a small...
