Maniototo Cafe — Restaurant in Maniototo Community

Popped in today for lunch. We were cold and hungry. Asked if there was a menu I was pointed to the food cabinet. I ordered my lunch to a disinterested person who clearly wasnt listening and then had to repeat it as she looked away into the distance. My partner ordered his all was good. No hospitality professional engagement towards us. The tepid drinks arrived yep we drank them. I ordered a roast salad which was delicious I asked a staff member to heat it for me please as I was cold. She didn't verbally acknowledge my request took the bowl and returned it basically the same temperature still no verbal response from her. Appalling. Ate here on our way through Ranfurly whilst cycling the Central Otago Rail Trail. Food, Coffee, Tea & service was exceptional. Loved that we were able to order online the night before at Wedderburn and pick up a packed lunch on the way through as well. The Gluten Free lunch option was certainly one of the culinary highlights...

To be fair there are a couple of very good Cafe's in Ranfurly but this one has always been my favorite, probably because it's opening hours fit in better with when I'm passing through.
