Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Marlborough

Visited your cafe today. Not impressed as had to wait 20 minutes for small fries. I also had a hot drink by the time I got my fries my drink was nearly cold. I saw the fries left on the servery and the bell was rang and had another 6 minutes to wait for them. It didn't seem that the kitchen was busy with hot food either as where I was sitting mine was the only one that came out.. Eventually somebody came out and picked them up and delivered to me. Why they couldn't bring them straight out as the girls in the front where busy. I know the cafe gets busy but surely there could be better organisation and staff are trained to be more efficient. The small fries where served in a big dish and there where only 12 chips not great at all. Its not the first time that I have had to wait so long for such a small order. Quite a busy place during lunch hour. This indicates that the service and food is great. The staff was checking our vaccine pass and this made up the long queues at the counter. However, once you settle in, the food and drinks was prepared in less time. Vaccinated public could only sit inside while vaccinated and unvaccinated public could sit out side the dine in area. While on holiday with my daughter and her partner . We had a meal at Mitre 10 mega. My daughter had mince on toast with a poached egg. The egg was over cooked. I had the columbus breakfast the poached eggs again were over cooked, the tomatoe was raw, the toast was not toasted and the small sausages were over cooked.
