Locally owned and operated, cafe and restaurant. The food, especially pizza, is my favorite. Eggs Benedict for breakfast and great coffee. Very friendly staff and owners are hands on. Seating is either inside or outside with places to hide out of the sun (or rain). Sometimes they have food trucks come which is great for getting something different and unique. If you a tourist you must check out the plane and history of it. If you into UFO Alien stuff this is the plane the filmed them over the Kaikoura Coast Go sit ... relax ... eat ... drink ... and enjoy 😀

Arrived just before kitchen closed so had the chicken panini and beef croquette from the counter, along with roast vege salad. Moderately expensive and the coffee was good, but wow, the food was terrific. And climbing into the pilots seat of the Argosy parked outside - how good is that? Take your time and watch the onboard video, its very informative. Will definitely be back. Thanks! Update 1 year later: revisited, can txt in advance to pick up coffee from drive through, had another really nice lunch. Great local eatery.

This place is something quite special, with the big old AW 660 Argosy aircraft parked in the grounds. Reading this back, it sounds like an add, never mind, give the place a try and you will find it is all true. Ask the owners about the simulated flights around the world, sounds like good fun.

As a part of a large group (20 ish) we pre-ordered our food. This ensured a good delivery time for the amount of food for a smaller establishment. I ordered the open steak sandwich, I enjoyed the favours, just a little to much fat in the steak. Yes I would visit again. See some history with the Argosy on site to explore. They also support food trucks by hosting regularly (which I have partaken in), in their carpark offering something different. Yes out of town by the airport, but really you wouldn't hesitate in a...
