Its 1230am and we pulled in to the drive thru, parked in the carpark and ate our meal. A young, distressed female came running in the driveway and went strait to the door but it was locked. She started banging on the door, the security came and wouldnt open the door. A young guy came from the same direction yelling out to her and walking towards her. The young girl held the door handle and she was absolutely terrified, shaking and you could tell she was scared of him. Now i must add, he did not lay a hand on her. He was pleading with her to take his hand but she was scared. By then we had already rung 111, and another female member of the public had intervened. The young girl grabbed her and wouldnt let her go. By then the young male had left and started walking. 1 under cover and 1 patrol arrived, she was happy to wait with the police until her dad arrived. Happy ending for this young lady.
What i couldnt understand was. Yes, the security guard was on the inside and he had the safety of all the staff members on site to worry about. But he just walked away like he didnt care, he didnt even ring 111 because our phone call was the 1st they had heard of it. She was pleading with the security to ring the police, No, nothing. Now here is a young female, early to middle 20's, no shoes on. Distressed, scared and crying. Pleading for you to open the door or ring the police and the response she got was. Go away, the lobby is closed.

Read more2 poor experiences going through the drive thru having issues with staff & trying to scan my McDonald's app to claim points for purchases and being told very different things on 2 separate occasions and basically just being fobbed off. Both times I had my 2 young kids with me and was not able to sort out the issues at the times of visit - so I've come to google to leave a review. The issues I'm seeing is that the staff I've dealt with on these occasions don't seem to have knowledge on the McDonald's app/how it works nor cared to go and find this out, instead held their line where I was told on one occasion "We don't scan the app in the drive thru" and on the other, that I needed to have given my app code to claim points for a purchase I hadn't even paid for yet. I hadn't even paid for the order yet, technically was that not still at the beginning of the order since I wasn't claiming any offers? Or, having not paid surely my order could've been cancelled then redone from scratch where I could give the code for my app?

Exactly what you expect from them in terms of food. Absolutely nothing more, but nothing less.
Staff were otherwise indifferent and didn't seem to care too much, but worked quickly. While polite ENOUGH the attendee took our order, gave us a number and moved us on. No harm nor foul but absolutely no points for service - though I'm also not criticizing their lack of service.... as with this entire review it's just what you'd expect.
Points for speed however. The entire encounter while ordering would have been less than 2-3 minutes which included them getting our food to us and there were a ton of people there. It was insanely busy and they had us served and moved on in mere minutes.
The facilities were in less than average condition. We counted more than 5 tables covered in rubbish from precious patrons and another handful with sauce, spilled drinks and just generally untidy. Understandable for how busy they were I guess but worth noting.
I guess we got exactly what you'd expect from McDonald's. Just fast food with average service in a fast food...
