Hope it is useful for others who is checking the reviews before booking a campsite: most disgusting kettle (inside and outside) I even seen in a campsites - and there is only this one. Microwave doesn’t have its own inside plate. Outside of the microwave, you can see different old stains. Kitchen itself is very limited in every way - space, equipment, maintenance… No stuff onsite to ask where is your site is. You have to figure out by yourself. The site spot is very small, barely hold our 3-person small tent and our car. We spent like 15 minutes to juggle our small car and small tent on the spot. Moreover, you will be charged as handsomely as other very-good-conditions campsites. We were charged $75 for 2 adults, 1 child for one night powered site. Honestly speaking, as a camping-lover who almost lived in all the $$ & $$$ sites in north island, this one is the worst.

We stayed in Bayview for a few nights and had a meal here the first night ( Tuesday ) - good solid pub fare but very well-cooked and ample servings. My husband had lambs fry and bacon - he said it was delicious and he's hard to please. We booked for the Pig on a Spit on Sunday night - a very hot night and they could have done with a few fans. The food was fantastic - lots of variety in the servery accompaniments to the roast pig, great crackling and there was also roast beef. Deserts were also great - sticky date pudding, cheesecake, pavlova - all for $25 a head. Apart from the heat - which wasn't a huge issue as there is a courtyard area with tables and umbrellas that you could eat in - great value and a...

Stayed here 2 nights camping in my van in the low season. Facilities are super clean and new, kitchen is open air but sheltered from the rain, it has all the cooking utensils. Staff in the bar is friendly and easy going, bar is cozy and calm. Even on a Saturday evening the bar seemed to close early, well I never heard any noise after 8pm.You get free WiFi voucher. Definitly recommend for the price(15$ per night unp/pp), showers are 1$ for 5min but whilst you shower you can toss another dollar in. The chalets looked really nice. No noise of a buisy road. I would give 5/5 if the kitchen was closed to the outdoors and there was a couch room for campers ( you can chill in the...
