Spice Hut — Restaurant in Napier

Went to an Italian restaurant two weeks ago and they were playing soft 80s music. It was so nice sitting down at Spice Hut and hearing (what sounded like to me) authentic Indian music. Menu is relatively standard, but there were a couple of dishes I have not seen before (or often enough to remember). Really beautiful welcoming smile and service.

The Paneer curry was creamy, and the medium hot spices didn't kill the flavour.

Bad communication. Totally understand the rules in relation to bringing food in. But it was just for our 1 year old daughter. The waiter had advised us it was ok to bring it in after asking management and we could sit down at a table. Which we made sure to ask before we ordered so we knew if we could dine in or not or go somewhere else. Then our food was brought to us in plastic bags, and said we couldn't dine in unless we pay 2 dollars for doing so. Then deciding wel go home to eat, then finding out our order was wrong. Being a chef and also a big lover of Indian cuisine, I have struggled to find an Indian restaurant in Hawkes Bay that has offered a completely flawless meal. I can wholeheartedly say that the Spice Hut delivers not only fresh, flavour packed and authentic Indian cuisine... but also delivers with their wonderful customer service and clean/modern restaurant. I'm always so impressed by their meals that I won't be going anywhere else and encourage everyone give the Spice Hut a try... I highly doubt they will disappoint. Thanks to the BEST Indian...
