The Coffee Club The Crossing Napier — Restaurant in Napier

I have been here a few times with minor problems such as wait times however thats not my main concern. A friend of mine went and myself today. I ordered chicken tacos to be told that there was no flour to make the batter so picked something else which we decided to order creamy chicken and avocado ciabatta. I barely ate half of it as couldnt stomach it. Have way through we were both feeling so sick. I pulled out the chicken in the end and looked only find a few chicken has milk pink colour. The rest was fine. I have been vomiting since 11.30am this morning. My friend felt sick for 4 hours but eventually came right. I didnt even eat the enitre meal not eve half of it. It had almost no taste to this sandwhich either. The mayo you couldnt taste, a relish with it would of been much better. I also saw the chef handling customers food with her bare hands. As i was walking to our table she had the plate on the area for waitress to take to table, she was talking to waitress and the chef picked up the hashbrown with her bare hands ( there was 2 ) then put it straight back. I would of assumed a chef shouldnt be touching a hashbrown with their bare hands. I cant fault the coffee though.. If a waitress had of come and asked how the food was we would of said something. However had to leave early due to...

Didn’t rate it at allll. We paid like $86 and half the plates were filled with a dry coleslaw mix you’d find at the supermarket (budget version), the ‘chicken tenders’ were perfect rectangles so that’s a bit weird because chicken tenderloins aren’t square log shaped. We also decided to treat ourselves to a slice of the cookies and cream cheesecake in the cabinet, this was a bad decision. The cheesecake was pre sliced and in the cabinet but it seems that the cabinet wasn’t chilled so all sides of the cheesecake had gone like rubber. It was warm and rubbery which is not the way a cheesecake should be 💔 it’s a beautiful place inside but the food was not worth the amount we paid. I could have made the food better myself at home and saved $86 😭 calamari was meh okay we still ate it the side salad for that was weird to I was a handful of baby spinach and slice of tomato and a 2 slices of onion? All in all I feel like the food really needs to either up it’s game or drop the prices by half. We won’t be going back anytime soon...

I was utterly disappointed with my recent visit. Despite being one of only 3 occupied tables, our food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and when it did, it came out in a disorganised manner, with some dishes missing sides altogether. It was disheartening to see some of our companions left waiting for their meals while others had theirs served cold.

To add to the frustration, the staff seemed disorganised and forgetful, and when they did arrive, it was apparent that even the server was unsure of what they were serving.

In a competitive industry where customer satisfaction is paramount, this level of service is simply unacceptable. As someone who has enjoyed the Coffee Club in the past, I sincerely hope that they take these criticisms...
