Burger 1849 — Restaurant in North Island

I really had my hopes up for this place. But the dinner we purchased tonight was very, very disappointing. Purchased a Chicken fried noodle, Chicken fried rice and Sweet and sour pork. The noodles had no veges and very little meat, the meat was extremely dry like it had been microwaved reheated for to long. The rice and noodles tasted the same, very little flavour and super oily. The sweet and sour meat was also dry and chewy. I like most food, but threw half my plate full out. Very disappointing at $49. Leftovers thrown in the bin as would not be very nice reheated. Disappointing.

Please either up the quality of meat and amount of veges atleast or drop the price so the disappointment...

Friendly service. Food smells nice as walk in. Seems this place is a mixture of fish and chips takeaways / Asian takeaways / lunch bar which was a pleasant surprise as signs outside just say burgers. Ordered fish burger and spring role. Both well made but fish and spring role were over cooked and sauce of burger was a no flavour sauce. Plenty of potential here, just need to fine tune some of their food from reading the other...

Very disappointed in dinner tonight, fish burger $7.5 , 2 small fish bites, 1 piece of lettuce that wasn't even the size of the bun & mayo was runny and weird tasting. Partner got sweet and sour pork, this isn't served with rice. And tasted of cinnamon. Had herd some good local reviews. But definitely won't be returning. Shame place did look clean. Just very overpriced for...
