I read the other reviews and for the life of me was sure we visited a different restaurant...with the same name.
On our visit, we were greeted by an unfriendly owner(I assume she is the owner) who looked like she wished she was elsewhere. To be fair , it was unusually busy, being a public holiday, but we visited twice before and she still looked like she resents being there.
We waited at least 15 minutes before she finally came to take the orders as she was the only one on the floor except the cook who showed up from time to time to help.
we waited another 15 minutes before the food arrived after she placed four plates at the edge of the table , which obviously, we had to share between us... peculiar! My curry goat was average and my colleagues said their dish was good.
in conclusion, if you are after a nice place that has atmosphere and good service,...

My order came in record time, about 10 minutes. Ordered Curry and Naan breads and when I got home I discovered that both Naan bread were so dry and smelled old, I suspected that it was from previous days and had just been refrigerated and reheated for my order. I discarded them and just decided that I would just eat the curry and rice. About 4 pieces of chicken in, I could smell something akin to an old unwashed dishcloth tainting the curry/rice or both. I am so disgusted that I had to share my experience online to warn others. I feel I have wasted $30, and now I am going to go to bed without having a decent dinner. Save your money and go to Spice Kitchen Wellsford or Madly Indian...
Read moreI bypassed Wellsford due to the festive holiday traffic queues. This place had ample parking well off the road and good access back onto the road. I ordered a medium spicy butter paneer with a tandoori roti and a lassi (it was a hot day). The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The meal was the best I'd tasted since I was last in India! An absolutely smooth and creamy blend of taste and texture yet with the kick that I enjoy from spicy Indian food. The roti was quartered and it was the size of a brake rotor. The smooth lassi kept me cool too - I bought two in the end. First class!...
