Disappointing Experience Despite the Nice Location We were promptly seated and appreciated the upfront warning about a one-hour delay in the kitchen. The staff encouraged us to order quickly due to the wait time, which was helpful. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended.

The food itself was a major letdown—soggy fish and cold chips that were far from appetizing. When I approached a waitress to ask for tomato sauce for both my meal and a child's fish and chips, I was met with a curt "just wait a minute" and an unfriendly tone. Rather than helping, she wandered aimlessly around the restaurant with an empty tray, pausing to stare into space at the bar, seemingly uninterested in attending to guests. Eventually, I approached the bar staff myself, who were quick and polite, getting the sauce directly from the kitchen. Ironically, only after this did the original waitress make an effort by asking another staff member to get the sauce—too little, too late. The final straw was finding a piece of steel wool (steelo wire) in the coleslaw, which ended any remaining desire to eat the meal. Overall, the poor service and low-quality food were incredibly disappointing, especially given the restaurant’s great location. I won’t...

First time out at Whitby Coop, We’d heard lots of good things prior to coming from family friends, So we decided to head there for our date night last night, To our disappointment... we were seated by the back near the kitchen. Where I was not only accompanied by my lovely partner for dinner but also about 15 -20 FLIES buzzing around us... landing on our table and cutlery and other tables that were booked... which immediately made us feel uncomfortable.

We ordered a entree of “crispy” squid, but were instead greeted with very oily soggy squid... the mains were much better! A little under seasoned with my lamb rump, but all in all good.

We decided to order dessert we normally share one... We were so excited and intrigued by the dessert menu of “milk chocolate brĂ»lĂ©e & Turkish delight pannacota, that we ordered them both!!

Chocolate Brûlée was rather nice, But the Turkish delight pannacota... was not set whatsoever and just ended up being a liquid drink with some toppings... priced at $12 each and not executed properly... :(

Lovely set up, good menu, however execution of the food we ordered was dissappointing, hope for a better outcome/service IF we come back next time...also no compensation after telling our wait staff of...

Solid effort from the team at Co-Op all round. I was in there with two other friends tonight and I ordered the BE-EF Burger (with an egg) which came with crinkle cut fries. We ordered the boneless fried chicken with Korean BBQ sauce.

The burger was bloody delicious, with a tasty patty that was juicy AF! My go-to of having a fried egg was a bonus for me. The milk buns were soft, yet managed the moisture long enough for me to get through most of the burger before disintegrating. This is common, so didn’t bother me. Yeah pretty stoked with this bad boy!! Crinkle cut fries are the best fries ever (FIGHT ME IF YOU DISAGREE) and these were no exception.

The Boneless chicken had crunch, moisture in the meat and strength in the sauce. AH-MAZ-ZING!

Service was friendly and good didn’t take too long either.

Luckily there was a special on which brought the burger meal to $15 which was about right for me, $20+ would have been a bit steep. This burger meal was great, but with higher quality of ingredients it would be worthy of that $20+ mark. This is why I have it a 4/5, but this place is definitely worth a visit, especially with TG1 now open it’s a breeze getting...

Situated right next to the lake, this venue offers delightful views of the ducks. It’s child-friendly, featuring colouring activities and a dedicated menu for children. Dogs are welcome too. The kids could run around outside within our view, quickly making it a favourite for us. A nice surprise was their own cocktail called ‘Gummy Bear,’ which is sweet and tastes like lollies. The children’s menu is well-priced and allows kids to pick and choose the ingredients for their meal. For example, our child was thrilled to assemble her burger from all the ingredients provided on her plate. On the downside, there aren’t many negatives. We arrived in time for the brunch menu but were slightly disappointed to find that Eggs Benedict was not available. Although the music was initially too loud for our group to engage in conversation, the staff were accommodating and happily turned it down upon request. Overall, it’s wonderful. A great place for school-aged kids!
