Roasted x Toasted by ROAR COFFEE — Restaurant in Northern Community

I have tried the Ha Le Loumi toast- I must say, it is hands down the best toast I have had in a long time. Made with their local sourdough bread and a delightful blend of 3 cheeses, this toast is an absolute must-try. I can't wait to come back and sample their other toast varieties.

In addition to their delicious toast options, they also offer a special allergy menu to accommodate all dietary needs. Their in-house bean roasting results in some of the best coffee my partner have ever tasted during the camping trip across the South, and their hot chocolate with a perfect layer of foam is simply divine.

The bakery offerings are just as impressive, with macarons, donuts, pretzels, and cookies that all look incredibly tempting. Despite the high quality of their products, the prices are very reasonable and the cleanliness of the establishment is top-notch.

Parking is plentiful just a few meters away from the shop, and they also have a selection of locally made sauces and organic products available for purchase. I highly recommend this place for a delicious and...

Epic. We LOVED our first visit here finally! The welcome even on a very busy day was so warm and genuine which is a reflection on just how great this place is with such hardworking owners and staff. It has so much heart with great style and atmosphere and seriously good coffee and delicious flavoursome food to back it up. The sandwiches and pretzels (one had there and an extra one after to take away - can confirm that both the pesto and the cheese options on the side were both yummy) were absolutely delicious and lived up to expectations for our first visit and then some. The coffee was super on point and the whole experience was so enjoyable - including the great mix of locals and travellers from NZ and overseas giving it a positive vibe and energy. We also loved being able to buy some honey and there are many more offerings too. Thanks for being such a friendly welcoming spot with great food and coffee, even when completely slammed with customers! Already looking forward to (actually craving)...

The best café in NZ without a doubt. We stumbled upon Lumsden in the hope for a café open over the holiday period for lunch. What we found in Roasted x Toasted takes both quality service and great food to the next level. The ‘Mother Clucker’ and ‘Pineapple Express’ were so tasty we didn’t get an opportunity for a photo. The café was busy but the staff were taking this in their stride and everyone was happy …. the way life should be. Our only regret was not trying more of the wonderful food offerings and purchasing a Roar cap. A couple of days later my husband commented he wished we had the opportunity to go back to Lumsden to purchase the cap.
