Beautiful idyllic amazing! Super chill easy paved drive out there. Multiple options for swim and beach spot. Not busy when we went so had a big space to ourselves. Water was crystal clear amazing and felt safe. My 6 year old swam well in it despite it being over her head, no current or pull and just overall chill amazing lovely! Sand is… sandy lol. But nice. Goes through a doc campsite with facilities. Unsure about payment etc for staying but can use the toilets etc. Would be amazing to camp there for a few days and explore the area and swim and...

This place is phenomenal. It's two half moon bays separated with a headland.

We went in early December and it was still really quiet. It's a really basic Doc campsite but it has everything you need.

It has a lot of bird life there. Pukeko wander around through the day. Unfortunately there are also some feral seaguls which will try to mob you when you cook or eat. They also squawk loud really early in the morning which can be annoying.
