I was a little disappointed tonight, the garlic bread seemed tiny since the last time I had garlic bread, it was still tasty but tiny. I had the baby ribs for my main and they were so good I recommend getting them I had no regrets with my choice and it left me feeling full, I didnt even finish I had to take away half my meal. However I didn't enjoy my dessert I had the after dinner mint cocktail. It wasn't what I was expecting but the reason why I didnt enjoy it was because the majority of it was whipped cream. And then there was the service and atmosphere, this was quite poor in my opinion we were there for about 2 and a half hours. Because in-between our meals we had to wait on the front of house to come and clear our table. We made alot eye contact with a couple of new faces from front of house we even tried getting there attention by trying to talk to them but we felt quite ignored. There was only about 5 tables there including us. We have been there before and quite enjoy3d it in the passed however tonight wasn't one of...
Read moreWent to Nellies Wine Bar and Restaurant for a dinner with associates. First thing I noticed was the nice atmosphere. Warm and inviting and very spacious. Ribs were average and let down by the sauce which tasted reheated and still under heat, making it look and taste almost like jelly which is disappointing. Steaks were great and can't really complain, though the medium rare was a bit far on the rare side. Service was decent but could be improved. Had to ask for napkins 3 times. More should be provided upon ordering finger food, and at the very least the staff should be attentive to the napkin and water situation of the tables when asking how the meal...

Firstly we objected to being called "Guys". 2ndly when I order a meal with mashed kumera and parmasen cheese that's what I expect. Not just plain potatoes. If there was a problem why not come and ask if it is suitable for them to replace the kumera with potatoe, I could have then changed my mind and ordered something else. 3rdly my friend had a gastric bypass done 2 months ago. At the bottom of the menu there is a mention that if there are any dietary requirements please speak to our waitress. Please dont waste your time doing this because their chef is not flexible. We sat right beside the kitchen and could hear the...
