Autobahn Cafe Papakura — Restaurant in Papakura

Manager or a staff member (unsure) was very rude to us and fairly agressive. We had stopped by on our way from Auckland. Wasnt aware that the kids area is for customers use only. Which is fair enough, but the tone and mannerism of the staff member was unnecessarily agressive, especially in front of our child. I sure hope they dont treat others this way. Perhaps it would suffice to better indicate their "rules" as well as the name of their place on the outside, as I pointed out to the lady, but I was told its marked very clearly.. and yet I see no sign outside even indicating the name of the place. We ordered a hot chocolate but the atmosphere has honestly been ruined to want to stay here one second longer 😔👎 Shame as they have a nice kids area but lack any kindness or friendliness.. not the best...

Note the 5 stars I gave Autobahn Cafe. Its for their ice coffees. They are consistently the best iced coffees. Better than anywhere else I've tried. Im a iced coffee connoisseur so I mean the best iced coffees ever. They're thick, creamy and full of coffee flavour. I also love the dollop of real whipped cream on top as well. No canned cream here. Also want to say a big thankyou to the mature lady that works there. She's like a breath of fresh air. She provides fantastic customer service and is super friendly too.

Perfect spot to stop. We left Auckland & drove 35 mins to here as we knew we would get convenience & good variety of food. Even tho we were there around 2pm for lunch, there was still a good selection. Prices on the high side but mitigated by ease of parking, convenience of having a range of food & also knowing it will be fresh given high turnover of Customers. Toilets & kids playground for those that need it. Also a good spot to sit, relax/recharge & watch the traffic - far enuff away to feel like youre in another world, close enuff to be able to see clearly.
