Popped in to Littlejohn Cafe recently and was really pleased to find that the food was fabulous, service was friendly and it was very clean.
This was the first time that I had dined in since the cafe had changed owners. It was previously Bluebells cafe and the new owner has worked here for years and knows the clientele.
The range of food has been extended to now include quiches, pies, panini's and sandwiches. There are still many of the Bluebells cupcakes and slices available.
I had the Chicken, Brie and Cranberry panini which was toasted, a double shot Cappuccino and the Macadamia Oat slice which is impossible to resist. My friend had the Carrot Cake Cupcake and the empty plates show how much we enjoyed it.
Littlejohn Cafe is located on Hillsborough Rd near the corner of Littlejohn Street. There is parking outside and seating inside and outside.
I would be happy to recommend and look forward to returning again to sample...
Read moreUsed to love going here but a recent event put me off- had just paid by paywave and the approved sign flashed on the machine but the girl at the counter said it hadnt gone thru and wanted to put it through a gain- luckily I had my phone and checked my banking app and showed that transaction had processed.
The ?owner/manager and counter/barista staff member acted like I was extremely suspicious, asked for screenshots (which i sent) and my number as "its just very odd we cant see it on our side".
Transaction had processed seamlessly on my end so just a warning to check your phone if this happens to you.
Anyhoo done with this place - plenty of places to get good coffee without being treated like a...
Read moreOn a rainy Thursday lunch I popped into this cafe for lunch with a friend. Despite the weather this place was bustling with customers and it was easy to see why. The friendly service and range of delicious hot quiches, pies, sandwiches along with a smorgasbord of sweet treats my first thought was what do I choose? I recommend going with a group of friends, so you can choose a range of items to share. Everything was fresh and reasonably priced. There's parking outside or on the side street up to 2 hours. This is the perfect place to buy cupcakes and macaroons to enjoy yourself or give a a gift. Easily accessible from SH20, I highly recommend this cafe as a local place to brunch or to visit for...
