Our dinner experience last night offered a blend of highs and lows, particularly with our curry selections. We spent $34 on our takeaway, anticipating a meal that would delight and satisfy. Unfortunately, the curries didn't quite live up to our expectations, presenting a more watery consistency than we hoped for and lacking in the hearty, robust ingredients we looked forward to. This aspect of the meal felt a bit lacking, especially considering the price point, and left us wishing for a bit more.

However, it wasn't all disappointing. The evening had its bright spot with the cheesy garlic naans that accompanied our curries. These were exceptional, truly some of the best we've ever enjoyed. The combination of melted cheese and fragrant garlic on perfectly baked naan was a delight, offering a burst of flavor that greatly enhanced our dining experience.

We were travelling back home from Northland and stopped in Helensville for the night and went to iMAXX for dinner. We are foodies and love cooking and eating Indian food so we asked the chef (who we assume is Max) to cook us his favourite authentic curry. The restaurant was quiet so we could hear him in the kitchen and smell the fresh, delicious aromas. He was obviously taking time and care to cook us something from scratch. We had the goat curry and mutton rara . It was OUTSTANDING! Easily the best Indian curries we have ever had in our lives. Max served it to us with pride and you could tell that he had put his heart into cooking that meal for us. Paid for the combo meal of $55 that was meant to include a 1.5L drink and we were just given coke cans instead. We were meant to have 2 rice included but was only given one rice and only saw when we got home. Was meant to dine in the restaurant but ; got told there was an extra fee just to sit inside and eat which was not mentioned in the menu or anywhere inside the restaurant itself; when asked about it the staff were not apologetic but frustrated with the question. Staff were not friendly or approachable and the experience just waiting for our food was uncomfortable.
