Absolutely loved the staff, theyre funny and friendly but dont come across arrogantly. The staff there remind you that youre being served by actual people with them cracking jokes with the manager and always putting on a smile that isnt forced. The food on the other hand is absolutely stunning, I ordered the batteted fish and chips. The fish was locally caught fish battered in local beer. I dont think ive ever had such a good tasting fish. The fish was fresh tasting with a very crispy batter. You can taste dashes of the beer without the bitterness, a sign of actual beer being used in the batter. The chips were just as good, well salted and crispy and creamy. They did seem like freezer chips which are harder to cook well but they had perfected it. The food was fantastically presented. The salad was also quite outstanding, diced perfectly into micro cubes allowed different fresh flavours to dance in your mouth.
Overall, the restaurant had made it seem like had soul, you can really tell that the staff put both effort and love into the business and food. Would definitely recommend to passing...

However. When we arrived, there was no greeting, we didnât know what the go was, and or how to order. Staff were walking around looking timid and unhappy, and we heard a lot of apologies being passed around.
With that being said, we waited about 45minutes after ordering with no one asking if we wanted another drink, top up, or any sort of communication about where our food was or when our food would arrive. We started to wonder if our food had been forgotten, just like us.
We heard the kitchen bell ring and if it werenât ours, we would have left, when one plate of food was delivered we asked for another drink, when the drink arrived 5-8minutes later, we had to ask where the rest of our order was.
So a little disappointed in the customer service hence the 2 star. Happy...
   Read moreReserved a booking for 8. Initially told no booking was made and after much discussion and my recall of the conversation and who it was with found our tables. Entrees of mussels, calamari, shrimp cocktail and jalapeño poppers were very good but the empty plates were never removed from the tables before cramming the mains onto the tables. We had to ask for staff to remove the entree dishes. Mains were a major disappointment. The majority of dishes were way over cooked and as dry as old boots. The only heroes were the chicken breast and pork belly, with the chicken tenders, salmon, snapper fish and Asian chicken bowls being way below average. Atmosphere was great, but I conclude the packed bistro kitchen could not cope with the number of orders on the night and the front house staff were run off their feet....
