Limited menu compared to what is offered on the website. Waiter explained a number of dishes have to be ordered 3 days in advance but that isn't stated online. We ordered loaded fries as a starter to share but our mains arrived while we were still tackling it because the kitchen was busy ( a puzzling explanation). All the savoury course had a running theme of a salty, wallpapery paste, glutinous attempt at an onion gravy, which was mildly disturbing. Mains themselves were adequate pub fare but nothing special. Peculiar sauce on the ribs. Eyebrow raising accompaniments with the Toulouse sausages.Highlight were the slightly burned churros, which were oddly moreish but the over generous salting crept into this dish too. Sticky date pudding wasn't that sticky sadly. Post script - four days of food poisoning means I won't be going back...

I wish there were more stars! This is more than "your local" with typical pub food. It's by far the best eatery I've been to in a long time. The front of house staff were lovely and not only knowledgeable about the menu, they gave us the perfect space and time to choose our meals. I ordered the seafood chowder and my sister, the beef crispy noodle salad. I never write reviews and never take photos of my food but today I made an exception. I wanted others to see the beautiful meals and read what a great place this is. We will definitely return. I'm organising our work Christmas lunch and this will be our lunch venue. It's so good we will be driving from Papakura! And one last note. The star of the day was the banoffee dessert. It deserves 10 out of five stars! Well done Shed 16 team. You absolutely nailed it!

I ate at Shed 16 on Friday night and absolutely loved it! The service was outstanding – really friendly, helpful staff who clearly care about their guests. Dinner was incredible, gastropub-award level. The portions were generous and delicious – my lamb was so tender, and the real smoked bacon was a fantastic touch. The menu goes far beyond the standard pub fare (though they do great burgers too), and the prices were excellent. The space is welcoming and well laid out, with different areas to suit the mood. I’ll definitely be back in summer to enjoy the lovely outdoor area – it looks like the perfect spot for live music.

Our Helensville J2 rugby team had our end of season function at Shed 16 yesterday with around 85 people attending, and we could not have asked for a better experience!

The staff were absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for such a large group. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and was enjoyed by everyone.

From start to finish, the Shed 16 team made the day stress-free and memorable. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Hands down, this was the best experience we’ve had for our junior rugby team, and we’re so grateful to the Shed 16 crew for making it such a success.

Highly recommend Shed 16 for anyone looking for fantastic service, great food, and an awesome atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
