Never left a review before, but got a regular soy latte here the other day and unfortunately it was terrible (pricey too). Was the first time I have been here, and so I hope (and, from other reviews, this seems to be the case) that this is an uncommon occurrence and I just got unlucky.

But maaaan was that coffee so so bad, or at least the milk was (couldn't glean much about the espresso through how gross the milk was) -- scalding hot (and so of course also burnt) and awful foam (a stiff mess of large, loose bubbles sitting on top of the thin milk&espresso mix which might as well have been a white instant coffee). I figured by the sounds being made while the barista steamed that it was not going to be good, and this was confirmed when I looked over and saw them holding the jug with only one hand (on the handle). Seems more care might need to be taken in training maybe? Really just inexcusable serving that to someone for $7.50 though.

Was the worst coffee I've had in quite a while :( Didn't want to be rude, and they seemed very sweet! Just a very unfortunate...

Alittle over priced. A Tan slice for $10, (Edit as actual price is $6 my mistake) on the shelf behind the glass, the slices were put together to look like a whole piece, until its purchased and we found to be pre cut. It tasted good though. (sorry we ate abit before photo was taken)

We paid $17 for two stickers, a large Latte, (is a regular cup size) and a tan slice $6 (edited).

*Edit for owners response, I apologise, yes the tan slice is $6, we honestly thought the slice was both as they were closely put really close together, the tan slice was really good tasting.

Thank you for the $1 discount on the stickers, I appreciate it. Your store has a really nice...

I paid $24 for this... I ate it, but I was quite disappointed, and I felt sick with reflux for the rest of the day as most of it was beans in some sauce... It was the veggie breakfast (but they had no mushrooms so substituted with these tiny hashbrowns) The tomato was not cooked and the 'sourdough' did not look or taste like Sourdough, and the hummus was like less than a teaspoon it was just wiped around the edge of the bowl to look nice but it was still noted on the menu as a part of the meal... And only 1 egg? Super depressing. I would not eat here again sadly. But the girl who worked here was so so lovely I really wanted to love the place, but I won't be back. I...

An adequate cafe, but you can do better elsewhere. There are much nicer cafes that do provide interesting food, Kiwi charm and a bit of creative zing. The advantages: handy location, clean, good strong coffee with a good crema, and the ice cream bar was a hit with the busload of foreign. tourists. The food is so so and uninspired. I had Nachos and they were the least appealing food after four days in the South Island. The ambience was unappealing with poorly laid out tables, a tinny music system, outside tables in a row on asphalt, no WiFi.

We stopped here on our way back to Christchurch from Castle Hill Conversation Area. It’s a lovely cafe. Their kitchen had closed by the time we reached there but we could order some hot drinks and also the some food from the display rack. Had Chicken, Cranberry and Brie Paninis, they was delicious (completely forgot to take photos of it) and hot chocolate which was amazing too. Very nice staff and service. The cafe also had souvenirs to purchase.
