This restaurant is in an amazing building with perfect views out over the lake. The menu is a fixed menu served in a banquet style which is lovely as you get to try a bit of everything and share. All the food was great and well thought out, and there is quite alot of it and it just keeps on coming. Sadly near the end as it got a bit busier the service slowed right down and we were left waiting about 45 minutes for our desserts. Other than that it is a great place and we hope to be back.

Great ambience and set up with views over the lake and a roaring fire. Food is designed for sharing and is well presented and delicious. The service is a bit lacking unfortunately- I was served an undrinkable mulled wine (despite asking before ordering if it was very sweet) and the manager insisted that I pay for it even though I couldn't drink it. This tainted what would have otherwise been a perfect evening with friends.

What a meal!! We not only rolled out of there but we were both soo satisfied with our meals and was excited to take home the leftovers.... Portion sizes were more than generous and could easily feed another person. Flavours were very simple, earthy and amazing. Well worth booking into if you're in town. Don't miss the chance....

Beautiful setting in the main dining hall though for some reasons we were given a table at the loft. It was great after a few nudges for the manager to find us a table back to what we were booked.

Food was great to start but then the main was disappointing with roast potatoes felt like over roasted, pork was rather dried with the duck meat. The presentation of the dishes could also be better, as somehow the dishes were served to one side, and using one big bowl and a small bowl for the same dishes. Also didn’t expect the desserts were to share with no serving spoon and the desserts were nothing special, brownie and steam puddings with ice cream.

Price was very reasonable for a chef table experience, but we could have better food elsewhere spending the same price.

It was the Rippon Wine and its vineyard setting...

Jaz here. My partner and I are having Raspberry Creek as our wedding caterers in March 2024 and were encouraged to try the kitchen table experience and it was truly awesome. Stunning food, such a cool atmosphere and amazing staff. Sam the owner and chef was the nicest guy and we feel so so excited for our food at our wedding. Way more than just your standard catering, it was a 5 star restaurant experience. A 10/10 experience all round and would highly recommend both the chefs kitchen dinner experience and Raspberry Creek as wedding caterers. Thanks so much for a...

Wow, just wow. I mean you’d probably pay top dollar just to have an average glass of wine and a snack in a setting like Rippon has… But the picture perfect views are matched exceptionally with stellar Central Otago wines, a brilliant chefs table share menu and stand up service. We had Emi look after us and it was top notch, but I suspect the whole crew was equally attentive, friendly and accommodating. So while it’s certainly not a cheap and cheerful choice, it’s bloody cheerful and an exceptional...
