Visited Wednesday 14th May - Dinner

Situated in discreet location behind the Resort and the main Cellar Door & the Winery Restaurant, you need to loop around to the left to the back of the property

It is located at the end of the road, in front of the roundabout

Ordered: Yellowfin Tuna as an entree, Central Otago beef duo and Saltwater Salmon as Mains

The entree (tuna) was thick and juicy and there was some lemony sourness that opened up our tastebuds and appetite to enjoy our mains. Very flavoursome and good portions

The beef duo was delicious, soft and tender. Both the two small pieces of steak and pulled beef were very easy to eat and enjoy, with just the right amount of flavouring

The salmon was soft and flaky, the skin was crispy and very tasty, along with the extras make this dish amazing and succulent

We hope to try their desserts the next time we come to Queenstown

Service was good

Signage would have helped us locate it better as the GPS tracker directed us to a group of...

What an amazing dinner. Every dish we had was made with local ingredients and really well executed. We ordered the salmon appetiser with chardonnay emulsion, freshly shucked oysters from Marlborough, lamb loin, gnocchi with truffle cream and rounded the meal with affogato. The oysters were fresh, the salmon was crisp with a fragrant tangy sauce. The lamb was decadent with a crispy layer of fat cooked to perfection, the gnocchi was crispy on the outsde and fluffy inside, paired well with the truffle cream. The affogato was very well made. We've dined at many good restaurants around the world including Michelin starred restaurants and we were just blown away with how well every dish was executed here. Kudos! Thank you for the...

We enjoyed a delicious meal at The Lodge restaurant at Gibbston Valley. The venue was away from the main restaurant and was beautifully decorated. Service was superb and attentive. Food was presented beautifully. I had the blue cod with mussels. My dining partner had the vegetarian main (angelotti). Dessert was strawberry roulade which was superb. Accompanying wines matched the food perfectly. Views from the restaurant were beautiful. I'm not sure why the venue was so quiet, nor why there are no existing reviews.
