Sprig + Fern The Meadows — Restaurant in Tasman

Had the pleasure of meeting up with some friends and the Sprig and Fern The meadows, I had never been there before but was pleasantly surprised, well thought out room with potential as a performance space against the wall opposite the bar. Plenty of seating at both h dining tables and leaners as well as a small al fresco dining area overlooking the park and kids playground next door. The staff were very friendly, within 10mins we had our drinks and one of the bar women came over with a plate of fries advising ‘they’d made too many on the last order and these were apare, didnt want to let them go to waste and gave them to us ‘gratis’. These fries were PERFECT! Crispy outside, soft and fluffy centres nicely seasoned they were great. Our group devoured them, then we ordered the calamari, which again was delicious, cooked nicely and well seasoned, a couple more pints and solving the puzzle on the board earned is some old fashioned jet planes (yum) then we ordered pizza, the meat lovers was amazing, Hawaiian very tasty and the he pepperoni popped with spice and gooey cheese theoughout. The bases were crispy and there was no skimping on the toppings, we were drinking the OG Pilsener, light and hazy with hints of fresh apple. Great night out, delicious hearty meals and great beer. Felt threatened by a pit bull dog that a customer and family bought in around 6:30pm. It was straining at its leash to get away leaving us feeling nervous, after a recent family member of ours had had a recent unprovoked attack to her face which has required extensive surgery.

We mentioned our concern to one of the owners and we were fobbed off with “Oh these people come here all the time, the dog hasn’t given any trouble . This is a dog friendly pub”

There is no sign we could see that this is a dog friendly environment.

Our complaint is that our worry about a dog which was straining all the time to get free , was not relaxed, and we considered was unsafe was treated by the owner as a bit of a moan and she was dismissive and...

I recently visited Spring + Fern the Meadows and had a great experience. I ordered the pizza and chips with gravy and I can honestly say they were the best chips I’ve ever had perfectly seasoned. The pizza was also excellent, with a perfect crust and fresh toppings.

They have a great selection of beer that paired wonderfully with the food. The atmosphere was nice and inviting, with a relaxed vibe. Plus, there’s plenty of parking available, which made getting there easy. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience.
