Rangiriri Heritage Cafe — Restaurant in Waikato

A lovely spot, and an opportunity to see some history at the same time. We were lucky to be there in the cool of the day (being summer) and before the summer hordes arrived. There is a good amount of space for groups, and both indoor and outdoor seating.

I imagine if many people arrive at once the staff will be rushed off their feet so spare a thought for them when it is busy. For us they were friendly, courteous and attentive with service. Our food and drinks were great, the tables were clean, and we were able to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air, and to look in the little museum they have on site. Plenty to read about there, and gives you a balanced view of the history of Rangiriri and the Waikato in general.

The bathroom facilities were accessible and also clean and tidy. A (babies') change table is available in the ladies toilet.

AMAZING! Best meal I have devoured ( and I do mean that cos I couldn't help myself!) in ages! I was getting slightly concerned when my friend came back with one of those buzzy gadgets and went to collect the food and cutlery upon the gadgets call. But do not let this deter you! The place was packed, and I guess in a little town, there are only so many employees you have availability to. Good on them for making it work! Because what they have to offer is wonderful. A group from our Parish lunched yesterday at Fixate. The food was excellent, the service very good - even with some new staff in training -. Staff were positive and friendly. My Egg Benny at $23.00 was on the high side of average but comprehensive, and well prepared and more manageable on a Hash brown. All of us were satisfied with our generously-proportioned meals - and remember to visit the little shop next door - a great array of treasures...
