River Run Cafe Mokau — Restaurant in Waikato

This Cafe is streets ahead of the other in Mokau, much cleaner,friendlier and cheaper sorry to say. This Cafe service is friendly, efficient and prompt with a fantastic menu on the wall, plus some self help cabinets for sandwiches, cakes etc. lots of choices for cold drinks, milkshakes, and hot drinks with nice coffee. I am a fan of milkshakes so always happy to have a coffee then a takeaway milkshake for the road. Their whitbait omelettes are very nice and filling, maybe a little expensive but that is just the market price, especially if the season hasn't been the best. Public toilet right next door, so all in all a great place to stop for breakfast, morning coffee, brunch or lunch...

Have been before and cafe was great, think there is either new owners or management. But waited forever for coffees then got ours mixed up with customer who had just come in. We are patient but too slow. Needs to put name on coffees is the way to go much easier. Pies OK but probably won't get them again. Young blond guys seems to be training others maybe when not quite so busy. We had him the previous time we were there and very efficient. Hopefully gets better. We will try new guys across road in coffee, whitebait stand looks the go. Had whitebait sandwich previously it was great, but no get orders right and...

was lovely b4 with nice staff and food but last visit seems like jagged cut staff, milkshake barely tasted milk or flavour even asking for more flavour it lacked anything other than powder. the pie looked sort of ok but seemed like mostly pastry and too salty. letting a male customer cut in was ghastly rude and time consuming which i had limited time of. what happeed to that cafe? public toilet looked more appealing but glad i had been...
