El Zócalo — Restaurant in Managua

Went to the restaurant which seemed nice. Got a Coke. Sat patiently for about 22 minutes. After a while I went to the counter and asked where did I need to go to order food. They all looked at each other puzzled ( I speak fluent Spanish) until a waiter said I will take his order. I asked who the manager was a female and a male looked at each other as if they weren't sure, the female pointed at the male. I told him waiters have walked by me left and right and no one bothered to check on me or take my order. I asked for my check for the coke. Which at a minimum any manager would have refused to charge for. I paid and told them I came here to eat, not to drink a coke. I told them I would gladly pay. I liked very much the drinks and the ambiance of this particular one. It seems pretty much like an authentic Mexican restaurant. The food was very good also. Try the Jarrito Zócalo, it's like a Paloma but more tangy.

Some years have passed and they keep creating and selling new dishes and options. Now they have Birria tacos and they're actually pretty good, perhaps best in town. Their Chilaquiles are also amazing and the portions are quite on the large size, so great bang...

Definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Nicaragua. I would highly recommend this if you really need to eat Mexican food and get that Mexican atmosphere. The atmosphere is just like a typical Mexican restaurant. The food was great, but it can be better. The tortillas were very cold and not good.
