All I can say is Superb. Their meals are delicious. All their soups are mouth watering. Every single soup is really delicious : Vegetable soup/Edikaikon soup, Afang soup Egusi soup Okra soup Banga / Ofaku soup/stew Bitter leaf and most especially White soup. I had my first taste of Ekpankukwo, a native Meal from Akwa Ibom state Nigeria (I am not sure I spelt it correctly ) and it was delicious. I personally love their Afang because it comes with the periwinkle in their shells it's so interesting sucking them out of the shell from the soup. Exquisite !

Upon arrival, parking was very limited but as we were about to leave, someone was coming out fortunately. You walk in and the atmosphere is laid back and very chilled. Nothing fancy but that's okay. The food, it was nothing to write home about. Bitter leaf was good. The white soup could have been better, it was very bland. Hubby enjoyed his fisherman soup but I wasn't able to taste it. The gentleman that attended to us was polite and very attentive. I would go back to give it another shot.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Emmy Kitchen &Bar and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with colorful African decor that added to the overall immersive experience. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel welcome right away!

The menu featured a wide array of authentic Calabar dishes, each one bursting with flavors and spices that awakened my taste buds. From the tantalizing aroma of the freshly prepared soups to the perfectly seasoned rice and stews, every bite was a celebration of Emmy Kitchen Restaurant &Bar’s rich culinary heritage.

I particularly enjoyed the Ekpang Nkukwo, a traditional dish made with grated cocoyam and a variety of protein options. The combination of textures and flavors was simply exceptional. The Afang soup and Edikang Ikong soup were also standout dishes, showcasing the skillful blending of local ingredients and spices.

The service was impeccable throughout my dining experience.

In addition to the delicious food and excellent service, the Calabar kitchen place had a vibrant cultural vibe.

Hidden Gem for Authentic Nigerian Cuisine!

During my stay nearby, I took a short 10-minute walk to Emmy Kitchen (Calabar Kitchen), and it was absolutely worth it! I tried their semovita starch with legendary white soup, and wow, what a delight! The flavors were authentic, rich, and satisfying—truly a taste of Calabar.

The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I did notice they had quite a few staff for such a small space, but honestly, that just meant the service was always on point!

Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone looking for delicious local food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere....

Emmy kitchen is an ideal eatery for lovers of calabar delicacies like afang soup , vegetable soup, fisherman's soup, unripe plantain porridge etc it's speciality is Nigerian delicacies served in a decent serene environment . No English dish is served here. The location of the restaurant is great with parking space though not exclusively for its customers The service is not too great though the staff are friendly The place is not ideal for business meetings except social interaction and networking Above all the food served is great as the restaurant operate on a la carte...
