Read moreBlucabana Restaurant and Café is one of the standout spots in Abuja for anyone looking to enjoy good food in a beautiful, relaxing environment. Located within the Mabushi area, Blucabana is popular for its blend of fine dining, casual hangouts, and family-friendly spaces.
One of the first things you notice is the ambience. The place is spacious, well-decorated, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The poolside area is particularly lovely, especially in the evenings with the soft lighting. It’s a good spot for dates, group outings, or even quiet solo meals if you want some peace.
The menu at Blucabana offers a good mix of continental and Mediterranean dishes. You can expect pastas, steaks, burgers, seafood, and some Nigerian options as well. The food quality is generally good, well-presented, and fresh. Their cocktails and mocktails are also worth trying. Price-wise, it leans towards the higher side, but that’s expected for the type of service and environment they provide.
Service is decent but can be inconsistent during peak hours. On a good day, staff are polite, attentive, and efficient, but during busy weekends, service might be a bit slow. It’s advisable to go earlier or make reservations, especially on Fridays and Sundays when it gets crowded.
Another plus is the family-friendly setup, including a playground for kids, which makes it easier for parents to dine while the children stay engaged.
Overall, Blucabana remains a favourite for many Abuja residents and visitors who want good food, great ambience, and a bit of an escape from the busy city life. With a few improvements in service consistency, it can easily remain one of the top dining...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years while living in Abuja but had the most horrific experience recently. I came with my family to meet another family to eat, swim, and play. I was informed they needed an ID to allow my child to swim should she choose to. I provided the requested ID but was then questioned by the manager on the authenticity of the ID. My friend has the same ID and has never been questioned. I am black and she is white. I pointed this out to the manager about the racist and discriminatory practice. As well as the level of questioning being targeted at me and not others of a different skin color. He claimed that was not the case but there was no other reason for questioning it when others who are not black are not questioned and put through that level of scrutiny. I was asked to provide a work badge which of course I don’t carry around on the weekend. The ID provided to him is one used in other establishments in Abuja with no problem. I was then told they could not allow my child to swim despite providing what they asked for and having no issues with payment. The other family had no such issue. For that I could never go back to a place that discriminates and treats their customers and children so poorly and without remorse. So if you don’t mind an establishment that has mediocre food and management that have discriminatory practices this is the...
