Castelle Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Arendal

I went here alone while I was on a work trip. The restaurant is cozy and in a nice location. The two waiters seemed to only speak English, but that’s okay, they were nice enough. I ordered the “Chicken Murphy” and the food took about 20 minutes to come. With the food I only had water because of the pricy drinks. Luckily the food was warm when I got it, however it was a bit bland, the portion was too big (for better or worse), but there could have been more chicken and parmesan. It’s not the most expensive place (229 kr for the pasta) but not sure if I would order pasta here again. We got seated very quickly, outside as we wanted in the sun as well:) Got our drinks relatively fast, ended up ordering a Fanta exotic cocktail and a P2. They were so good and fresh, really do recommend! We both ended up ordering the spareribs where we sadly were a little disappointed with the meat. The spareribs were incredibly fatty and not a lot of meat on them. The BBQ sauce,cornpuré, salad and baked potato were spot on, so tasty! Sadly the only reason why 4/5 stars on the food. My husband and I had the buffet on Sunday, the price is 179NOK/person which is really a good deal. They have various of food selection from hot meal (salmon, beef, pork, etc) to dessert and you are allowed to stay for 1h 30mins. On weekdays, the buffet is much cheaper. Food taste is relatively good 👍🏻 The ambience is nice, quite crowded when we came due to rush hour (?) but overall we had a good time. It’s a nice restaurant to visit once in a while 😊 worth the money and tummy! ❤️
