Mønsj — Restaurant in Arendal

I ate here several times during my stay in Arendal. The food here is delicious and the service was great. I'm a vegetarian and there were plenty of choices for me that was more than just a cheese pizza. I tried a few of their sandwiches, soups, and salad and they were all delicious and flavourful. Also, I definitely recommend the frozen mojito!

Monsj is located right by the harbour and the patio has a great view of the calming waters and town. On a less sunny day though, the inside is nice as well. It looks newly renovated, spacious, and with tasteful decorations.

I got the chicken pesto pasta. The chicken was perfectly cooked and so delicious. The pasta was undercooked and extremely chewy. A Norwegian couple came in after we had been sitting for a bit and they not only were served before us but they also received their meals before us which we found quite odd. Starters could not ve delivered ahead of the Main course and was instead delivered together with the rest of the food. It took over 1 hour for the food to arrive, i had the burger and my gf had the pasta. The burger tasted like minced Meat and not beef, the bread was so thought i had issues cutting through it which leads me to think it has been frozen for a while, and the burger could not be delivered with fries.
