Stephanos is a gem when it comes to pizza, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment the pizza arrived at the table, the sight of the perfectly browned crust, slightly charred on the edges, hinted at the wood-fired perfection that awaited.

The crust itself was a masterpiece — crispy on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside. It had just the right amount of bite, complementing the fresh ingredients piled on top. The sauce, a balance of tangy and sweet, was clearly made with ripe, flavorful tomatoes and seasoned with fresh herbs.

Toppings are where Stephanos truly shines. I went for their signature pizza, loaded with fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and basil — the classic Margherita. But their variety is impressive, offering something for everyone, from traditional pepperoni to more adventurous combinations like prosciutto and arugula. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and you could tell that the ingredients were of the highest quality.

What an incredible dining experience! 🤩 This restaurant truly delivers authentic Italian food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the service-minded staff made us feel right at home. The cozy ambiance, combined with the convenience of parking right outside, made it a perfect spot for our family dinner.

As a family of four, we were thrilled to see everyone clean their plates—something that rarely happens! The portions were generous, and the presentation was unique, adding to the overall charm of the meal. I discovered that this restaurant is ranked # 2 in Bergen , but in my opinion, it’s the best! The owner, Stefano is not only a gracious host but also a fantastic chef who goes above and beyond for his guests.

When I asked for seafood pasta—a dish not on the menu—Stefano happily prepared it for me. The result was absolutely divine! The dish was packed with an abundance of fresh seafood (honestly, more seafood than pasta!), and every bite was bursting with flavor. It was clear that Stefano takes pride in his craft, and it shows in every detail.

We were visiting Bergen, Norway, and wanted to celebrate our last evening in the city with a nice dinner. Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing.

When we arrived, there were plenty of empty tables both inside and outside. Still, the manager told us they couldn’t seat us due to a lack of staff. He added that if we chose to sit outside, we could only order drinks — even though we saw other guests dining outside. We asked if we could wait for a table, and he replied vaguely that it might take three hours, which would’ve been past the restaurant’s closing time.

When we kindly asked for more information, the manager became visibly irritated and eventually said, “Oh, you can come in and look for yourself,” in a dismissive and unfriendly tone.
