Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.
Boring sushi badly made and executed, I would go so far as to say it’s the worst sushi I’ve ever had.
Odd hot options too.

So very shortly after initially writing this review a member of staff approached the table and confronted my family and I asking if we were the ones who had written the review.
They then went on to claim that despite the name “Sticks and Sushi” they weren’t actually “Japanese” Sushi but something inspired by it and that the food was to more of a Norwegian taste.
Well, you can forgive us for thinking that. Perhaps you should consider changing the name of the restaurant?
With this is mind I understand why the hot options may have seemed a little odd to us.
However, the cold sushi options were clearly an attempt at Japanese type sushi, just very badly executed, bland and tasteless.
Rather than apologise for the quality of the food, the member of staff instead tried to justify the low quality by openly admitting that because it was an eat all you want buffet and people ate a lot as a result, the food was of a lower quality than the al-a-carte menu. Astonishing. You should probably increase your prices then so you can offer food of a higher quality.
Indeed, we weren’t even aware an a-la-carte menu existed as when we arrived we were told we could sit anywhere we wished, a member of staff popped some glasses of water on the table and then not another word was uttered to us regarding the food, drink or anything else for that matter.
On paying at the counter after the meal and whilst waiting for family members to leave the table the same member of staff told me that she was sorry we didn’t enjoy the food but that bad reviews hurt their business. I genuinely get that and do not like to write bad reviews. To write a bad review means I’ve had to pay for a bad meal which I obviously don’t ever like to have to do. We’d spent a week travelling around Lofoten and had an amazing time. Every single meal we’d had up until then had been superb and we’d left a number of good reviews along the way.
This review contains honest feedback based on a bad experience so you should use that to improve what you do which at the moment is not particularly good at all.
And never ever confront a customer like you did. That was completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional.

Da æ kom inn la æ raskt merke til at de ansatte behandlet gjestene veldig forskjellig. Hvis du er pent kledd og ser ut som du har «riktig» stil blir du møtt med vennlige smil og ekstra oppmerksomhet. Servicen er rett og slett eksemplarisk hvis du ser ut som du passer inn i demmes forestilling om “eksklusive” gjester. Men hvis du kommer i mer hverdagslige klær eller ikke passer inn i dette bildet virker d som om du nesten er usynlig. Servicen var kald og distansert og det føltes som om æ ikke ble tatt seriøst i det hele tatt. Dette gjør at hele opplevelsen blir ubehagelig uansett hvor god maten faktisk måtte være.
Skal en restaurant virkelig vurdere gjestene sine basert på klærne demmes? Æ synes d e trist at en ellers lovende restaurant ødelegger inntrykket sitt med slik overfladiskhet. Har testet både å komme inn med fin klær og vanlig chill outfit. Selve sushien smakte ganske godt men kundebehandlingen burde ikke ha så store...

Selvfølgelig ender man opp med å spise litt mer enn det man strengt tatt har behov for, slik at man er garantert valuta for pengene😁 Men, slik er det jo alltid med buffeter. Restauranten oppleves som stor med god plass. Buffeten er plassert ca. i midten, og det var ok variasjon når jeg var innom. Brettene ble også jevnlig fyllt på. Man merker heldigvis lite til kjøpesenterfølelsen litt lengre inne i restauranten. Når det blir ferdig med byggearbeider utenfor, blir igså utsikten bra. Alt smakte bra. Dette er en enkel måte og få seg et ok måltid på. Sabrura har helt ok sushi. Selvfølgelig er utvalget i buffeten noe begrenset, ingen kamskjell eller tunfisk bl.a., men da ville det jo også vært dyrere. Bordene kunne nok ha vært ryddet og vasket av litt hyppigere.Flere gjester som gjorde dette selv. Alt i alt helt ok, og jeg kommer nok til å spise suhibuffeten hos Sabrura...
