Cibo AS — Restaurant in Haugesund

Newly opened Neapolitan pizza restaurant ,as close to Italy as you can come! Located in the busy main street of downtown Haugesund, it has easy access either by car, bus or fot. They offer authentic italian pizza take away for those one the move, and have a very sweet and romantic restaurant for those who want the whole package and experience pizza the way it is supposed to. Now, I have tried both and I would highly recommend eating there to get the whole experience and taste of the best pizza in Haugesund, if not Rogaland. Cibo has a very modern feel and look, and at evenings the lights dim, feels very romantic, as it should in such a restaurant so score is up there. As any new restaurant they have their share of technical difficulties with food, staff and so on. But now at my last visit I could not fault them at anything. Great and fast service, great food, easy and small menu with anitpast and pizza. The star of the show is of course the pizza! It was an experience watching the chefs make it from start to finish as it has an open view of the whole kitchen and the pizza oven. After a short wait, even in a full seated restaurant we got our pizza. And they looked amazing! Great charring on the pizza, crispy yet soft doug, and this sweet honey on top of mascarpone cream and proper italian pepperoni slisses is to die for! Came out here with some coworkers and sat down in the center of this nice restaurant with good music, instantly I was consumed with thoughts of this photo. My first thought, "oh the pizza must be good, look at how much she likes it!" But as I looked closer I was met with questions and horror. A photo of a woman who I thought was enjoying her own slice of pizza was a glutinous mad woman who couldn't be deprived of her food. Notice she's not eating her pizza, THAT'S NOT HER ARM. Is someone warmly feeding her or are they trying to pull her away from their food? For I cannot know, the question drives me mad. Has she been starved? Has she never tried pizza? Is it the best most divine pizza on the market? No it's not, it's pretty good but you know I've tried better, like 8/10 probably. But what has created this photo SHE'S HOLDING TWO OTHER PIECES SHE HAS ALREADY BIT INTO. My only plausible answer? This woman is the incarnate of the sin of gluttony and nothing will come between her and her insatiable hunger. But yeah I'd probably...

Maten er god, ikke noe eksepsjonelt, men god. Servicen derimot er nærmest ikke eksisterende, som da også naturligvis drar ned stemningen. Det tok lang tid fra vi fikk oppmerksomhet i inngangen og vist til et bord (ja, jeg hadde reservert) og enda lenger tid tok det før servitøren kom og tok bestilling, selv om vi prøvde å vise med alt kroppsspråk at vi var klare til å bestille. Og å få maten servert tok også unormalt lang tid.

Vi ønsket i utgangspunktet å bestille dessert etter middagen og satt klare til å bestille, men vi fikk aldri oppmerksomheten til noen servitør så vi endte opp med å betale og komme oss raskt ut og ikke legge igjen mer penger her. Servitøren som ga oss dessertmenyen, ei heller servitøren som tok betalt i kassen tok seg bry til å stille det faste «smakte maten?» spørsmålet. En føler seg virkelig som en byrde når man er gjest i denne restauranten uten service.

De som vi observerte fikk service var paret på nabobordet, fordi den unge mannlige servitøren helt tydelig kjente disse to. Dette førte derfor til at servitøren, som sagget så mye at han nesten ikke hadde buksa på, ved flere anledninger i løpet av vårt måltid omtrent satt på vårt bord mens han skulle snakke med vennene sine. Lite appetittlig å ha noen andres underbukse i ansiktet når du skal spise.
