Our experience at this restaurant began with high hopes for good Vietnamese food to share with my girlfriend and cousin. Unfortunately, several aspects of the visit were disappointing.
Upon entering, we noticed the restroom was unclean, with a scissor in the sink and remnants of flowers scattered around, no drying paper after the toilet visit. When we sat down, the restaurant was empty, but the waiter did not approach us. We had to request a menu, as he initially directed us to a QR code on the table, which not all of us could use. Read moreWe were so lucky to stop in Haugesund during our Norway trip and discover this hidden little gem — a truly authentic Vietnamese restaurant tucked slightly away from the town centre. What an amazing find! The food was absolutely delicious — exactly what I needed.
The owner and her children were so kind and friendly, and chatting with them in Vietnamese made me feel right at home, even though I was so far away. The food was spot on — rich, flavourful, and tasted just like a real bowl of Bún Bò Huế back in Vietnam. Every bite brought a taste of home and pure comfort.
Definitely a place I’ll come back to next time I visit Haugesund.
Thank you cô, chị & em for bringing such wonderful Vietnamese food to Norway ❤️

They should decide which name to use as it's quite confusing when the signs outside say Sushi Wok, but the name online is Vietnam House. It took us a while to realize it is...
