TL;DR: Way too expensive for being so bland and upright non-appetizing. Extremely disappointing. Friendly staff however.

This visit cost me 448NOK.

Upon entering the location, I was met with a strong smell of chemicals, but I did not think much of it. A newcommer, I used some time to look at their menu, which was simple and nice. I was enthusiastically was greeted by the staff who were very welcoming and accommodating, and seemed to be passionate about their burgers. Upon placing the order, I waited for the meal, only to begin to really draw in the strong smell in the environment of some kind of perfume/air freshener to cover up some other horrid smell. The longer I sat, the more the smell of what seemed like sewage masked by an aeration became apparent. Probably out of their control, it's a big building. Unfortunate.

Nevermind this, and what sounded like a microwave being operated behind the scenes, I chose to trust what seemed to be a positive reputation and good reviews here and soldiered on beyond these glaring red flags.

Upon returning home(I live right by the place, so barely not even a 1 minute drive) I unpack and plate the meal. First impression is it looks okay visually, but it doesn't smell nice. Regarding the fresh memory of the place, it becomes skeptical at this point, and I opt to cut the burger in half before eating. True to the staffs word, it was loaded with cheese. The burger patty had a rather odd and not very appetizing consistency, and the temperature was not at all good. It may not have been made in a microwave, even though it sounds like they had one behind the stage, but the temperature of the patty was not consistent. The burger tasted very plain with no real interesting or exciting flavors. Very bland, and the rather off-putting smell didn't make this an appetizing event. I didn't even manage to eat half of this.

The fries were easier to get down, but this was surprisingly bland as well. The cheese was nearly tasteless, and the bacon came off chewy rather than a crispy delight - despite its appearance. The fries were the most edible in this order, but that's not a bragging point considering the burger costs 329NOK. Towards the end, these fries were just soggy and not at all appetizing either.

If it wasn't for the price, I wouldn't be as harsh. But seriously, what the hell guys? The only real experience I left this place with was disappointment and a bizarre affirmation of the meme "Wypepo dun spice dey foodz." This was seriously a let down to the point I do not have any faith in this establishment after this visit, and I will not be returning. I seriously doubt I'm alone here, despite what seems to be oddly positive praise around this establishment within a short period.

Stopped there on a whim yesterday, with my favourite person, to 'check out the menu'. We were met by a very enthusiastic waiter, full of positive energy, who insisted on serving us ice cold water with lime, even if we would end up not ordering anything. We ended up getting intrigued by the burger with pineapple-mango sauce, and blue cheese; sounded exotic. So we ordered one each, and some french fries.

As we waited for food, the waiter came back with some small snacks, while cracking a joke. The atmosphere of this place is very cozy and fun, we were having fun even before the food was served.

But then, the food arrived.

The fries were great, crispy exterior, but soft, squishy and delicious on the inside. But the star of the show was hands down the burger. Perfectly juicy medium rare patty, carmelised onions, tomato, pineapple-mango sauce and the cheese, oh boy, the cheese. The way all the flavours combined into a perfectly balanced symphony of taste was way beyond my expectations. I now firmly believe that this was one of the best burgers I've ever had, top 3 for sure.

So I can with confidence 100% recommend this place to anyone who enjoys burgers. And you should probably hurry too, because when the food and the service are this good, this place is bound to become more popular, and then the...

I recently visited Burgorilla in Lura and had such a great experience. The first thing that stands out is the design of the place, it has a really unique jungle-inspired interior that makes the atmosphere fun and memorable. The service was excellent as well. The staff were very polite, attentive, and helpful in guiding us through the menu, which made ordering much easier and more enjoyable. As for the food, everything we tried was delicious: Tarzan Chili Fries: full of flavor and very tasty. I’d give it a solid 4/5. Anaconda Smash Burger: really good, packed with flavor. I’d rate it 4.6/5. Double Hippo Smash Burger: absolutely amazing! Juicy meat, great flavor, and a perfectly soft bun. This one gets a strong 4.7/5 (it has blue cheese, if you are a blecheese fan, you should try it).
