This is an amazing place to bring your family, friends or lovers. The food is great although a little overpriced for the amount you get in my opinion, there is a lot of variety including meat and fish as well as drinks and desserts. The workers are very accomodating and polite, they come and asks you if everything tastes ok which gives you the opportunity to give comments or complaints about the food without feeling like a bother to those around you. The atmosphere is very nice, it's very family friendly and wheelchair accessible. There are usually a lot of children which may sometimes lick the windows, so I'd advise not to touch them. The view of Trondheim city is beautiful both in the daytime and nightime, it's dimly lit and there are candles which makes the atmosphere very cozy and compliments the food and environment very good. I really like that the resturant spins, in around an hour or so it will go a full circle giving you the time to fully take in the views while eating. All in all no real complaints about the place, just that it is a tad expensive for the amount and quality of the food you recieve. I would only go here for special occasions and is definetly worth it🥰

Breathtaking view of Trondheim city, and the rotating effect is so magical you hardly feel it until you start to see different sceneries, but the restaurant does not only pleases your eyes with beautiful sights of the sea, mountains and downtown, it also has a unique theme inside too, the wooden interior makes it cozy and homey, and the many antics, and old tools tells you the story of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they practiced safety and health measures all the time. The seating area was very comfortable, the menu had a selection of different dishes to cater to all tastes, I tried the California Burger it was really kicking with flavor, my family members tried also the Ultimate Burger, the Sweet & Sour Chicken, and the Pasta Gorgonzola Entrecôte, I didn't hear any complaints.. so I really recommend this place if you are a tourist or visiting Trondheim for the first time and looking for a effortless chance to see the whole city, while enjoying a hearty meal in a cozy place. GENERAL Reservation was easy and appears to be recommendable, at least for weekends. The venue is cozy with lots of wood, comfortable lighting and music. And of course the view is arguably the best in town. ORDERING For some completely non-understandable reason the foods had to be ordered from the bar. This meant that on a busy night (e.g. a perfectly normal Saturday) one would have to queue easily 15 to 30 minutes on a narrow corridor, constantly dodging the staff, after deciding what to eat. This was mostly caused by the register personnel also bartending while accepting orders. Furthermore, unlike in every restaurant in the history of civilization, one had to pay for the foods upon ordering. FOOD We ordered the shareable grill plate, which arrived surprisingly quickly. The serving was plenty for two people, yet not nearly warm enough to stay warm until the end of the meal. Red meat was cooked well, but the chicken was awfully dry. It was thankfully saved by the mango sauce. Having received the apparently abnormal dish, we were granted desserts on the house by a wonderful waiter. We had chocolate fondant, which was delicious. SUMMARY Restaurant experiences are sums of many small things. In the end we were satisfied with our evening.

Egon is a chain, all have the same kind of old barn style look, this time combined with a fantastic panorama view. It is actually full 360 view if you opt for the rotating upper floor. The food is good hardy stuff, fitting well with the farm style. We tried fried cod with pesto and potato, baked trout with vegetables, entrecote with friesx2, nacos, pasta carbonara, and a variety of starters. All dishes where well prepared and tastefull, the only downside was possibly my steak not beeing medium rare as ordered, but more or less medium (to what I could judge exactly like my dons medium version..) So to the rating + view, friendly staff, view, no nonsense, view, no nonsence old barn feeling, kids are welcome - remember to order in advance to get a table, somewhat noisy (only for those that do not bring own kids and thus notice), and for me at least .. the rotating floor seems dangerous for kids. All in all, recommended

A great place to have a relaxing dinner. The food is nice (as always in the Egon chain), the prices are usual too, however the locale itself is absolutely stunning. Imagine sitting behind the table eating your tasty quesadillas while the floor under you together with the table and everything slowly goes 360 degrees around the tower. You're not only getting the best view from the tower but all the views from the tower. And those are indeed magnificent - the bay, the hills and the city underneath. Would definitely recommend, it's a must if you're in Trondheim. However, don't go there by foot from the centre of the city as you're going to scale the steepest street I've ever seen in my life (steeper than that in San Francisco with trams). Take a bus ride.

Absolutely stunning view of the entire city, did definitely make the food taste better 😂 Not too much service interaction, ordering is possible on your phone with a QR code or by the bar desk. Prices are reasonable for the portion size, and we didn’t wait long for the food. Please note that we were there 3PM, which is the calm between lunch and dinner. We sat on the lower floor as we found it quite noisy on the upper floor and the rotating floor was a bit dizzying. Food was actually a bit bland, but with some sauce and salt, it wasn’t that bad. They also seem to have a nice bar with bar seats along the windows. Might come for a drink again some time. You can go up the tower to the restaurant to just take a look at the view without eating.
