Edit April 2022: This place went a little downhill since I was last here. It seems that the prices have been tweaked upward a bit. Hands down the best place--the Polish spot--is not only leaving, but seem to have taken some liberties with their pierogis. I don't know why they did it--maybe trying to cater to the depressing Norwegian palate--but they're no longer actually pierogis, at least not as I know them. No more potatoes! Just some really disappointing meat filling going on in there. I'm at pains to understand why they're being supplanted by a Spanish cart--we have enough overpriced restaurants serving toast in this city--nay, the continent. It really just serves to hamper the diversity that makes this place so great. Still, the drinks are awesome and the atmosphere is great. Not my favorite place to eat in the city any more, but still up there for the time being.
Hands down best place to eat in Trondheim, and I don't say that lightly, given the cropping up of some truly incredible restaurants in the last year or so. The only downside is having to curb your excitement and understand that you really do not need to eat everything that they have to offer. A word of advice: I am almost certain that if you just bite the bullet and pick one, you will be both satisfied and full, no matter what you go for. I can't remember the exact price, but I can guarantee that there is not a single place in Trondheim that can leave you this satisfied at that kind of price. Honestly almost giving this stuff away for free!
The vibe is also just such a huge asset on top of the whole thing. Situated in a warehouse, the place is blasting out summery hipster chibes that reminds me of eating Chipotle burritos back in the states in those sheet metal garage concept dining areas.
The cherry on top of it all is the mind-boggling fact that they have an alcohol license, which, if you couldn't send me to bliss even faster, they 1) have and 2) capitalize on with what seems to be a partnership with the brewery across the street. Amazing selection and decent price compared with most other bars. We didn't get to sit outside on a stupid hot day, but it didn't even matter. Nothing could after that mind blowing experience of culinary diversity I wasn't convinced would ever exist in Trondheim.
Eating so much that you have to cross the street and lie in the grass beaming with euphoria until one of those lawn mower robots assaults you is entirely optional, but a risk you'll just...
Read moreGreat concept, great buzz, tidy and clean, and lots to choose from. Had the pho - and the broth game is solid! Fresh scallions and sprouts, and the sauces came separately in small containers. The meat has some improvement potential, but still all in all a worth trying again for me. Portion size was decent, but left me ever so slightly lacking. Also got to try the gyros roll. Sauce was decent, the bread good, but the star of the show - the meat - was unfortunately dry.
Extra plus for having a proper recycling station, that did not look like a utter mess. Same plus for having some on the side activities like ring games and ping pong.
Wheelchair friendly and ok parking.

We tested it for lunch on a Saturday. Plenty of space to sit, no line, efficient service.. you scan the qr code at table, make your order, pay, and get a msg when its ready to pick up. Easy peasy..
Food was good, we tested cebab roll (?), dumplings, nachos, and cheese balls.
... so why not all 5 stars?
It was a bit too rough for my taste.. benches are a bit whimpy ( would they break if we all sat on same?), noisy, not easy parking close by, .. if we are to take tge trip going there.. it should be more ..
But worth the try. If you have some hours to tale a different lunch...
