Yesterday we enjoyed a 5 course Norwegian feast that was a masterclass in the art of balancing traditional ingredients with modern culinary techniques. Each dish showcased the best of the country's wild, coastal, and pastoral offerings, and the entire meal felt like a celebration of Norway's natural beauty and rich food culture. The velvety beef tartare was enhanced by the sharpness of horseradish, whilst the delicate fresh salmon was lifted and balanced perfectly the creaminess of the accompanying herb infused sauce. After 3 starters, of which every morsel was a gastronomical experience of delightful flavours, we moved onto the much anticipated mains and desserts. From the tender reindeer to the delicate halibut and the unexpected yet delightful brown cheese panna cotta, this meal was a true reflection of Norway's gastronomic identity-distinct, bold, and unforgettable.
The chef’s creativity in presenting each dish was akin to an artists stroke of a brush. Every detail was carefully crafted, whilst the warm and friendly service made us feel welcome and special.
We highly recommend this amazing gastronomical experience! You will walk away wishing you could come back again.
We look forward to our next visit!...
Read moreOn a 10 day trip in Norway this was hands down the best meal we ate. Our dinner was outstanding, we had the special caprese salad that had lingonberry vinaigrette to start and blew us away. For entrees, My husband had the lamb and I had the local catch which was monkfish that day. I ate a lot of fish on this trip and this was truly memorable in flavor and preparation. Our server was so helpful with dietary restrictions, and it was great to chat with him about the restaurant and what a special place they are building there. We got to enjoy spectacular views while we ate, the restaurant is beautifully designed with an open kitchen and high beam ceilings with huge windows facing the sea.
Our dinner was so outstanding we returned for lunch the next day after our golf round at Lofoten Links. We had the burger and the fish stew and both were phenomenal. It's worth booking this place in advance as it sounds they are very busy in high season (understandably so!) and they are the only restaurant like this in the area. We'll think about this restaurant for a long...
Read moreWe spent 5 unforgettable days at Lofoten Links Lodges, and dining here was truly the highlight of our stay. The restaurant is an absolute hidden gem—tucked between dramatic mountains and the sea, with breathtaking views.
The team offered the best hospitality we've experienced in a long time. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We had the half board menu, and every meal was a delight—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The gluten-free options were fantastic (and clearly taken seriously), which made a big difference for us.
From the moment we arrived to the final meal, we felt cared for and relaxed. The surroundings were just stunning—it’s the kind of place that makes you pause and just soak it all in. We only wish this place was closer so we could return more often!
Absolutely worth the visit—you’ll leave with full hearts and...
