We ordered the Shawarma, lentil soup, and fatoush salad, and I must say we were terribly disappointed. The Shawarma was drenched in tahini sauce, to the point that you couldn't taste the meat. The meat itself was disintegrated since it was obviously marinated in too much vinegar for too long, and there was SO much tahini that the pieces of meat were completely white and dripping with sauce. While tahini is a welcome and traditional addition to any Shawarma sandwich, the amount that Automatic adds is excessive. The Shawarma (sandwich) used to include tomato slices, sliced onions, and parsley, but for some reason, there are no longer any onions or parsley, just tomatoes, and barely any of those. As a result, the Shawarma sandwich is very monotone in flavor. The lentil soup that we ordered was completely tasteless, as there wasn't sufficient salt in it, and that's just the basic seasoning! There was also no other seasoning or flavor in the soup (such as cumin, which is essential for any authentic lentil soup). It tasted like plain, tasteless boiled lentils. As for the fatoush, it was underwhelming, the dressing was extremely salty and vinegary, to the point that it was inedible. Even the pickles that they provide on the side are too salty to be consumed. The kitchen staff at Automatic don't seem to be experienced in proper seasoning. This was a very disappointing experience, and the quality of food was unfortunately substandard. Definitely not authentic Lebanese cuisine. I hope the restaurant takes these comments into account to improve the quality...
Read moreI was told that their #shawarma would start after 3 pm, which is understandable given that the preparation takes place every day.
So I ordered and took another Lebanese sandwich, which was similar to shawarma but called a tekka roll, which was new to me.
That's the alternative case where I got to see what a cuisine is.
I was once again reminded of the depth of Lebanese cuisine. I know a lot about it, for someone who's never been to Lebanon. So it will be time for me to go there at some point. And next time I will definitely be expecting their shawarma. I've got a great line for that.
So I returned to the restaurant again in the evening to order shawarma.
It was not bad, the taste of the mayonnaise sauce was delicious, considering the lower price range of this menu. The bread was soft, not baked crispy. I'm sorry I only ordered a shawarma sandwich and a small bottle of water, as today I had a full stomach after eating several shawarma throughout the day. When I saw the unhappy look on the manager's face at the time of payment, I felt sorry for him. This Lebanese restaurant should have deserved a much more authentic cuisine that makes use of the creativity, rather than shawarma sandwich, which was my...

The menu features a delightful array of traditional Lebanese dishes, with staples such as velvety hummus, smoky mutabal, and rich muhammara stealing the spotlight. Each dish is not only flavorful but also served promptly, ensuring a satisfying dining experience for...
