There are a number of things I should state about this place. Firstly, there is AC throughout, though my room unfortunately contained an Indian guy who treated the place like his own personal apartment with constant loud phones calls, whilst altering the AC to absurdly low temperatures making all other guests uncomfortable for the duration. This guy essentially lived in the room. Toilet paper isn't provided. The hostel is spread over two apartments on the 2nd and 5th floors. There is an elevator and kitchens on both floors, though these areas need to be tidied and cleaned a bit. The 5th floor also has a balcony. For the price paid the value is good. The location is fine, though it is not in the tourist area of town. There are some nice restaurants and a very good coffee shop nearby. Laundry was free though I offered to pay which was nice. The owner and his mother are friendly enough and tours are offered should you wish. Females pay 25% less than men though for reasons...

Read moreOne of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The place feels so warm and homely that you instantly feel at ease. I met so many incredible people here who love to travel and are open to new experiences.
The hostel team truly puts their heart and soul into everything. They help with tours, give great local tips, and organize activities at very good prices. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, breakfast is delicious, and the chef is wonderful.
It feels very safe and friendly. You don’t even feel the need to lock anything. Perfect place for solo travelers who want to meet new people.
The location is great too. You can take the A1 bus from the airport to Azaiba. There are several affordable restaurants nearby. Talk to the front desk and they’ll help you find others to explore Oman with or share rides for trips.
I had the best time here. Highly...
