I rarely ever write reviews, but after this experience I felt truly compelled to share just how outstanding the food here is. Chef John’s passion for his craft shines through in every single bite. My partner and I are leaving Oman, and on a whim decided to stop here for a meal—and we both agree it’s without question the best food we’ve had during our entire time in Oman.

I ordered the brisket platter, while my partner went for the brisket burger, and both dishes were exceptional. The brisket was cooked to perfection, layered with depth and richness—the spices, the smoky undertones, and that tender melt-in-your-mouth texture all came together beautifully. Every bite felt like it had been given real care and attention.

What made the experience even better was Chef John himself. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to come across a chef who not only masters his food but also makes you feel so at home.

I can honestly say, I would come back to Oman just to enjoy his brisket again. What a chef, and what an unforgettable...

I had the pleasure ordering the Dino Ribs & Brisket platter and I must say, they were nothing short of spectacular, especially The Dino Ribs were an absolute triumph, a perfect blend of tenderness and flavor, with each bite revealing layers of smoky goodness, simply irresistible. The meat was so succulent that it practically fell off the bone, making it a delight to enjoy. The smoky seasoning was expertly balanced, enhancing the natural taste of the ribs without overpowering it. Every Bite kept me wanting more. What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service provided by Chef John and Haroon. Chef John not only prepared the ribs to perfection but also took the time to share the inspiration behind the dish, which added a personal touch to the meal. Haroon’s attentive service ensured that the food kept coming in and he was always available to answer any questions we had about the menu. Warn you Team Mmari..we will be coming back...

I’ve just had my birthday dinner the other day at Mmari smokehouse and what can i say except chef’s kiss. I’ve been going here for 2 years and they never dropped in quality. We got a mix of 1.5 kg brisket (they were nice enough to keep in a custom order) 1kg ribs, 2 chickens and a whole bunch of appetizers. John came through with everything. It was everything i hoped it’ll be and more. I keep coming and trying their new menu items which was the pita bread this time. It was really good. The man himself was kind enough to even suprise me with a lemon cheesecake which by the way is so delicious. I pray they add mac and cheese to the menu. If that happens I’ll move...
