Parking and access :
Sufficient free parking available outside restaurant and valet service also available. But no security i.e. Park at your own risk. They have a ramp besides small restaurant stairs which makes comfortable access for specially abled people.
Ambience and service:
Cozy and small place, maximum 25 to 30 people can sit at a time in available sitting of total restaurant area.
Serving with smile, all service team is professional and they guide you well about the menu options and best things as per your taste.
Its a low light ambience, with candles on table so great for romantic dine in and good for usual family dine in options if your pocket allows.
Food and menu options:
Its exotic desi food served in bite size quantities multiple times except for two courses which are relatively big serving to fill your deep hunger.
They have a set menu of 10 course options, 7 courses are fixed + 3 you can choose amongst given variety of options. Each option to choose is again from atleast 5 to 6 options which the service team can guide you as per your taste buds and spice preference.
Every option is served hot, fresh and was tasty. I complained about Chatpata Beef which was not well done and they replaced the plate with fresh one.
They served 1 extra dish (again bite sized) which was from the chef's so it was not charged.
I dessert option they served Paan Gelato which was great, but I liked more the small Siwayyan with rose petals on top, it was all great.
Last option was Qehwaa, which was also the authentic one and I refilled another cup as I am big fan of teas and qehwas.
Cost and economy :
Not for you if you look around PKR 2,000 to 3,000 budget per person.
Knowing the exotic theme of restaurant it can not be compared with typical desi food restaurant, they have exquisite presentation, fancy crockery and dishes, tailored to meet the theme and great Hygeine level maintained across restaurant and this all demands some premium pricing. Be ready to pay around PKR 6,000 to 7,000 per head including service charges.
Limitations /improvements suggested:
They have only one washroom which serves both as toilet and hand wash. Knowing the space inside toilet, it can easily be split into one ladies and one gents toilet inside and a common hand wash area.
Congested seating if you are a group of 10 to 15 people, if they make it spacious it will occupy more space which they are already short of, so only solution is to move restaurant to much spacious place or add more space in building.
Its exotic in nature so not much there for kids. So be watchful if you have juniors with you who demand typical kids menu.
Overall great experience and rare to find such restaurants...
Read moreVisited there on a fine weekday at late dinner. Reached there without reservation & the place was empty. The servers were welcoming & ambience was soothing. The cutlery, the table setting lightening, everything was on point.
Once settled, they gave us the menu card for main course selection & served mineral water from the glass bottle immediately, environment friendly initiative.
In starters, they served open face potato samosa and some green leafy vegetable on toated bread. On house green salad with a variety of dips was served just before bbq, which included spicy chicken boti and nawabi malai boti. As stated, spicy boti was too spicy for our taste buds, but nawabi boti was soft & creamy. In beef, I opted for namkin boti, which was tender and juicy, and my partner tried dynamite beef, which was a big disappointment. It was like over-fried chewy beef tosed in Korean sauce, not a good choice. In gravy, we ordered prawn karahi and beef tawa qeema. The serving size was too small but justified as it's a tasting menu. Prawn karahi was average with too much oil, but tawa qeema was the winner here. It had very balanced spices. Then we were served palate cleanser to enjoy our upcoming meal. It was frozen strawberry ice bites. Matka Chicken biryani & mutton chapli kabab was served on the house. Biryani had too many raw spices and very little meat in proportion to the rice, but on the other hand, mutton chapli kabab was the winner. Soft, juicy & flavorful. Atlast, desserts were served, including warm gulab jaman, chilled shahi tukray & pan ice cream. To be honest, I didn't like any of it except the way they served. Finished with green tea shots.
Although some of the dishes were below par in taste but the presentation was too loud and eye-catching. It isn't the food it's the experience which makes you visit this place. From their starters to desserts, everything was very well served. The whole meal was enough to feed an average person for a day.
The total bill for 2 persons was around...

I had booked this restaurant for my husband birthday and he absolutely loved it.
The welcoming and attentive service throughout the evening together with the delicious food was such a pleasant surprise.
The menu is a 10 course tasting menu but you can get to choose 3 courses from the sub menu for those courses. Standout items were the beef skewers as part of the beef entree, the makhmali chicken as part of the chicken entree, the small puri as part of the first cours, the tawa beef roast, the bun kebab and the Chapli kebab. All the beef items were cooked to melt in your mouth perfection.
The 8th, 9th and 10th course comprised of ta trio of desserts. The gulub jaman were to die for that I wish I had asked for seconds. My husband loved the dessert called shahi tudkas, a pakatani version of bread pudding.
People need to realise that this restaurant offers a tasting menu and the items in each course are a smaller version of what may be available in other restaurants. However, comparative to other restaurants offering a tasting menu, the courses at Chef's Table are more than bite sized!!!!. Some of the reviews on Google are not justified, complaining the portions were too small. The restaurant offers a tasting menu!!!!!
The only constructive criticism I have, is that the courses should all me spaced out. We felt that the first 4 courses came out too quickly and we then requested we have at least 10 to 15 minutes pause between each course.
The chef and owner, Atif came out to meet us and that was good of him to do so and really we could not praise him enough about his restaurant including the muted lovely decor which compliments his food.
My husband was a happy bunny!!!!!
We paid approx £40.00 for both of us for the food and 2 bottles of sparkling water.
Well done Chef's Table Pakistan for adding an excellent dining experience to...
