Food was satisfactory/ordinary their Dumplings were tasty I must say that & chicken chow mein were good as well not a waste of money. Schezuan chicken noodles were meant to be spicy but I felt they were having a sweet texture so you can work on your Schezuan sauce but over all the food experience wasn’t so bad as for me am but scared to try food at new places so if they work a bit more on their food they can do better & would be great for their business. We ordered chicken corn soup but that was for my lil one so I couldn’t taste that it was from kids section. So, can’t comment on that. Well my experience with Ginsoy was the mixture of all went there to sit on the roof top to enjoy the airport’s runaway at night time but there was no air conditioning sys available for those who wishes to go on their rooftop which was not up to the mark - even downstairs the floor was bit warm so we had to ask for the air conditioner to be turned ON although there was the one which was already working. Music was too loud that you could hardly hear one another even when someone was coming to take order or we had to ask them for anything that loud music was the issue couldn’t say or hear anything 🫨 BUT here I have to mention the guy who served us on the 2nd table & made everything so pleasant that going to Ginsoy late at night despite the food taste & other things I have mentioned so far he made our evening pleasant. Zahid is the name of the individual first thing he did when he came on the table was smile & asked if he could serve us water? I told him to wait until we look into the menu he humbly said ok & went away with a smile on his face. After some time he asked again if he should serve water now? I nicely asked him may be in a while as we might not even take water but other drinks he smiled which is not so usual in Karachi I had seen in my two visits to Karachi so I was so curious about him how come he smiles & rest of the majority in Karachi don’t 😧 he served us food, drinks & in between he came back to ask if we needed something else. Once we were about to finish off he came to ask if the food is good so he made sure to keep a check on the table in case we needed something which was so nice of him to worry about the lil lil things of the table he’s serving on ⭐️ when we ordered drinks their manager too came another smily face which was another tick to this restaurant 😊 he explained to us that why they are not serving coke as we asked for it so he brought some local drink I forgot the name of which was nice. So we ordered two of them so Thank you Sanjay for the recommendation & Zahid you were remarkable that night your services throughout our stay made our night our last night in Karachi as we travelled from so far to Karachi just to see the city & explore & you sharing your knowledge with us about the city & all….. there were other people few of the staff in the restaurant whom I observed needs to be trained about that how to deal with the customers but if few are not working hard enough those who are it’s not fair on them to not speak good about them. In the end we went to the roof top Thanks to their manager who didn’t refuse to not let us see the rooftop specially the runway full of lights 💖 at the closing time. There was this guy I didn’t ask his name but he was so helpful & knowledgeable offered us chairs & sit comfortably & enjoy the view as well he told us to check the flight online if it’s coming any shortly than we can see the plane landing but that we couldn’t as we missed the two flights landing & there wasn’t another coming. He kept us entertained so thank you thank you guys 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Zahid, Sanjay & the rooftop guy & the one who was the assistant manager who walked us upstairs. I guess here’s to your review our last meal 🍽️ in Karachi was memorable not because of the food surprisingly But the hospitality & services you provided in the end to make it remarkably memorable with the smiles on your faces making us feel welcoming ❤️🥹💓 So, Karachi do have some smiley face...
Read moreWe went to Gin Soy Malir, which is next to Happy Palace School. The staff were excellent in their behavior towards us. Attentive, caring and responded accurately to queries. The atmosphere was clean, hygienic, continuous wipe downs and immediate pick up of any food items. But the food was such a let down… 😞 I had this bad experience with my father, who I really wanted to be happy. I informed the staff about making sure to provide me with low Salt options and they did. They were considerate and knowledgeable. In other Gin Soys, the flavor was GREAT with lower salt quantities, here it was positively feeling OLD. We all know the flavor of leftovers… The Szechuan Curry flavor was only Ketchup! 🫢🤮 I sent it back, and the cook sent me the another cooked same way again. Brother I know the Szechuan flavor, I come to eat it, enhanced in all its glory, at Gin Soy 😓😭 The Chicken Nuggets felt like Urad ki Daal ki covering. The Thai Green Curry had no usual Coconut milk flavor that I love abt it. Just the Lemon Grass. Full marks for cutting it like 🪃 V shaped strips. The cut of all food items was exemplary. We loved the LOOK of the food. But the 2nd bite stopped us immediately. The Drinks were Mint Lemonade and they were made perfectly, Alhamdolillah. We loved the low Salt Chicken Corn Soup, it was seasoned to perfection and it was Low Salt. We loved it! I want their owner to come and eat it as a late surprise guest, so that the quality never fades. 4/10. One mark for Highly Trained Staff Service, One mark for Maintaining Hygiene, and One mark for Pleasant Odorless Atmosphere, and One Mark for Chicken Corn Soup. You guys...

First things first, I want to bring attention to the atmosphere. The vibes are nice and very asian inspired, walls being a combo of concrete and wooden planks complimented with warm lighting. It was lovely.
For appetizers we got Hot and Sour soup, both red and white with Dynamite prawns and Szechuan dumplings. Loved the white soup as it was more flavorful, the prawns were nicely cooked and the tempura holding it was crisp with a nice spicy mayo sauce. I loved the Szechuan Dumplings as the chili oil was really flavorful.
For the main course we got the Spicy Szechuan and Spicy Garlic Gravy accompanied with rice and chowmein. Loved the flavor combo of spicy szechuan with the white rice, spicy and tangy! I also loved the spicy garlic with a hint of its pungency which wasn't overpowering like I had thought.
We got a Pina colada and a blue lagoon margarita with our food. Surprisingly the Pina Colada was the best among the two, the fruitiness of it was complimentary to the savory flavors of the gravies and every sip was comforting. The blue lagoon on the other had was a bit too overpowering and sour. For dessert we got chocolate cake and I dont think you can go wrong with chocolate cake.
I also want to bring attention to the customer service as it was impeccable! The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming.
I recommend the Szechuan dumplings with the spicy Szechuan with the rice and the Pina colada. Loved the experience overall it...
