The food is getting lousy day by day. I ordered a fast food platter and it was smelling. But this review is not about the restaurant, it is about the guards that are at the gate. They are absolutely annoying and chase every car, open every door from the female side and are hungry for tips. I frequently visit the restaurant. Despite my repeated requests they are not behaving. There is a limit to everything. Once I asked them for their behaviour, to that their reply was that they are not paid well by their owners. The question is, "how best we can curtail them to their duties of guarding the gates instead of annoying the guests. Last time I visited, they took it personal when I parked in a shade behind the building, instead of the front parking area, where it is convenient for them to be crafty. See the video and judge yourself. The owner should understand that these guards are creating issues for visiting guests by engaging unnecessarily. I for once don't like any third person to approach my wife and open doors for her. Especially when I have requested them many times. I have told the manager of the restaurant to look into the issue as well. Thank you. Hope you'll instruct...
Read moreI recently dined at Bistro 201 on Canal Road, Lahore, and the historical charm of the building added to the overall experience🤩. With four levels accessible by a electric lift, the restaurant boasts ample space, including a delightful rooftop dining area and a cozy spot for couples.
The staff's cooperative attitude and the restaurant's ambitious ambiance set a positive tone👍. Moving on to the culinary adventure, I tried two steaks 🤤- the Tarragon Chicken Steak and Jalapeno Chicken Steak. The Chinese offerings, Egg Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken, were satisfying😊, but the Seared Chicken Mushroom stole the spotligh🙃😍t. The pasta paired seamlessly with the dish, and the creamy mushroom flavor was a standout🥳.
For tea enthusiasts, the black tea comes highly recommended.🥳 While the overall taste was commendable, those seeking continental cuisine might be disappointed🤭, and chapati lovers should adjust their expectations. Despite this, Bistro 201 offers a diverse menu and a memorable dining experience in a...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience at Bistro 201 was extremely disappointing. The food quality and service left much to be desired. We ordered Platter 2, which was advertised as suitable for at least three people, but what we received was barely enough for one and lacked both freshness and flavor. The handi we ordered was also underwhelming—overly salty, bland, and served in a small portion.
The overall pricing felt unjustified given the poor quality. Despite requesting cleaning service, no staff member attended to our table for over 30 minutes, highlighting a serious lack of coordination and responsibility.
We later ordered egg fried rice, chicken with cashew nuts, and malai boti—none of which met basic expectations. The only redeeming aspect was the rooftop ambiance, which was pleasant.
I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience was truly frustrating and worth sharing. To top it off, they added a 5% service charge to the bill, which felt completely undeserved given the substandard...
