We recently dined at Yumto - The House of Arabic Mandi, and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We placed our dinner order at 10:05 PM, which included Chicken Madhbi, Chicken Shawarma Platter, and Kunafa.
While the Chicken Shawarma Platter arrived after 20-25 minutes, which is acceptable, the portion size was shockingly small—barely enough for one person. It was more like a small shawarma wrap than a platter. The chicken quantity was minimal, and the filling was mostly cabbage. The taste? A disappointing 2/10.
The real frustration began with the Chicken Madhbi, which took a whopping 55 minutes to arrive. Despite multiple reminders, the dish was delayed and, when it finally arrived, it was a major letdown. The portion was tiny, more like a kid's meal, and not even close to being enough for two people, even though we had ordered only half (two quarters) - a complete disaster.
To make matters worse, we had requested the Kunafa to be served after our main course, expecting it to arrive at the end of our meal. Instead, it took 50 minutes to arrive, and by that time, we had lost our patience.
And as for the cold drink we ordered? It never came. The waiter even asked at the end, "Should I bring the bottle now?" Unbelievable.
This was our first and definitely last visit to Yumto. The service was slow and inefficient, The food was below average, and the portion sizes were miserably small. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

Read moreI recently visited Yumto - The House of Arabic Mandi, and I have to say, it was a pleasant experience overall. I went with high expectations for their Mandi, and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried the quarter Mandi platter, and the meat was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. It had that classic, rich flavor you expect from a good Mandi, and the fragrant rice served alongside it really hit the spot.
I couldn’t leave without trying the Kunafa (because who can say no to dessert?), and it was a great choice! The balance of sweetness was on point not too overpowering and the combination of the crispy exterior with the soft, gooey cheese inside was exactly what I was hoping for. It was a satisfying finish to the meal.
As for the ambience, it was, well… okay. Nothing too fancy, but it did its job. The seating was not too much comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxed, though it could definitely use a bit more flair to match the quality of the food.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure we had everything we needed. I never felt rushed, which I really appreciated.
All in all, I’d say Yumto is worth a visit if you’re in the mood for some flavorful Arabic Mandi. The food was great, the service was solid, and while the ambience might not blow you away, the overall experience is definitely one...
Read moreActually I would like to give it zero star specially for your ghutiya staff service😑... You have a very rude(بدتمیز اور جاہل) staff (guard). Yesterday we planned to go to this over hyped restaurant though after seeing so so many bad comments in your reviews to see the hype but it's just a paid promotion.. nothing else... So we went there. There was only one empty space in the parking area in front of the restaurant. We were about to park our car there, but then your rude and ignorant (جاہل اور بدتمیز) guard (jisky khud ky pass motorbike bhi na ho lol) told us to not park there and lied that this place is for take-aways.he told us to go and park our car somewhere else and then come😑. And as soon as we took the car out of the parking slot, some expensive car came in front, so this ignorant (ghutiya) guard was like peechy kren apni gari peechy Karen..jahil insan😑 and let that car park there at once without asking anything 😑😑..lol Hum ny bhi paisy dy ker hi khana tha😑😑 ... But luckily we found some other really good restaurant later..with great staff service and best food quality... kindly teach your ignorant and rude staff (جاہل گارڈ) how to deal with customers or maybe you trained your...
