Read the reviews on Google Maps, took a trip from all the way to Karachi, just for dinner at Royal Taj Restaurant Hyderabad.

Ended up Being very Dissatisfied & Disappointed!

Lets start with the Venue, from outside it is a magestic building, but once inside especially once on the table, it was horrible, the AC's were leaking, water on the floor made it quite slippery & dirty !

The the utensils on the table (Plates & Glasses for water) were very dirty, had to have them changed.

Although the environment was not appealing, we were looking forward to the awesome food (As Per thr comments & Reviews)

So, We ordered a few dishes, •Soup - Hot & Sour •Chicken wings (appetizer) - which was served with Dinner •Chicken Shahjahani Handi (Suggested By Waitor) •Chicken Chowmein •Mutton Matka Biryani

And to my surprise !

ALL OF THE DISHES TASTED PATHETIC ! TASTELESS ! AND BORING !

Mutton biryani was MODERATE, so we all ended up eating that, other than that nothing else was UP TO THE MARK!

Upon complaining in the end, the waitor was very kind to compensate the poor experience with a few sweet dishes, but they too were not that good. (Appreciate the gesture though)

Just to sum it up - when leaving this Royal Taj Restaurant we regretted not going to many other excellent restaurants and going to this one as per reviews ! I would not revisit the restaurant even if invited !

I hope the management takes a serious notice of this and makes changes to their FOOD , as well as...

We went to the RT Hotel, the Royal Taj in Hyderabad, for iftar dinner, expecting a pleasant experience. But unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite. The place was overcrowded, and there was barely any food available. We kept waiting, hoping things would get better, but the servings were so small that it felt like they were rationing the food.

I asked for juice five times, but no one even bothered to respond. When I finally decided to complain, instead of addressing the issue, the manager started shouting at guests, treating them as if they were eating for free. It was upsetting because we had paid 28,000 rupees for this dinner, yet we left feeling frustrated and hungry.

At the end of it all, they brought just four small pieces of BBQ, calling it “Hot BBQ.” It was heartbreaking to see people standing around with plates in hand, waiting, almost begging for food. The whole experience was deeply disappointing, and it made me feel really bad. No one should have to go through that, especially...

The top most section of the rooftop was full of mosquitos and around 15 lizards were on the wall making the view disgusting. No pest control by RT.

The TV where the cricket match was being displayed kept on buffering. If you are a big renowned restaurant, you could have afforded better TV services instead of an online buferring TV channel service.

They didn't know how to make Kabuli Pulao. It was spicy and had no hint of sweetness. When my wife told them it was not kabuki pulao, they brought in another plate with the same rice but this time with garnishing (Carrots, Almonds and Kishmish). Garnishing doesn't make any rice a Kabuli Pulao. The chef either change the original recipes according to the Pakistani taste buds or he doesn't know what a kabuli pulao is himself.

At the end, the waiter made a blunder by bringing a receipt with ATM machine even when I told him, I was going to pay in cash. Then he brought another receipt later wasting more of my time after the already unpleasant time that...

This restaurant shows up as the best in town. It’s like the Monal or Kolachi or Andaz of Hyderabad city, but the menu severely lags diversity to make it even 25% of those iconic restaurants. Went there based on the reviews, the infrastructure is really good, however I am not sure if it had an elevator for old people, but the ground floor seating area seemed close. Once seated we looked at the menu, which was overly chicken based (Bar B Q, Chinese, Appetizers). Google reviews claimed this restaurant has best Chinese cuisine in Hyderabad, and their menu also stated that with an additional charge, every chicken item can be prepared in prawn or fish. But the server informed us that they only give a fish or prawn sauce if we pay extra. Disappointed enough we left without having anything.

My recent dinner experience at Royal Taj Restaurant was absolutely delightful! We opted for the Chinese cuisine, and every dish was a flavorful masterpiece, exceeding all expectations. From the perfectly seasoned starters to the rich and satisfying main courses, the culinary journey was truly exceptional. Beyond the fantastic food, the waiter service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for throughout the evening. The environment of the restaurant also contributed significantly to the wonderful experience. It was elegant, comfortable, and created the perfect ambiance for a memorable dinner. Royal Taj has truly set a high bar for Chinese dining in the city! I can't wait to return.
