LalQila, a horrible dinner buffet On 9th January 2024 we hosted farewell dinner to one of our top executives at LalQila Lahore & it turned out to be a horrible experience. From the quality of food to service and from lack of variety to staff behavior, it was a nightmare. I wish we had hosted the dinner somewhere else as we ended up paying Rs. 3500/head and receiving what we can easily call "poor value for money". The variety of food is so average that you cannot enjoy it and top of that as soon as the dinner started at 7PM, the mutton chops (the only reasonable item on the menu) finished instantly and the cook/chef had the audacity to say that next batch will be ready in 30 minutes. The fish instead of being boneless had small pieces of bones and LalQila management expects you to sit there and take out bones one by one. The shrimps were being prepared in a batch of not more than 6 pieces at a time and people were standing there waiting for the next batch of 6 pieces to arrive. The "Shahi Batair" had so much batter on them that it killed the entire taste and it seems you are having oil only. They don't accept payment on card and insist on cash only. Although we had prior agreement with them on payment on card but the staff blatantly refused in front of the guests and caused embarrassment at the highest level. Overall, I would highly recommend you not to visit LalQila and save some money rather than wasting it here on such a pathetic buffet menu. At Rs.3500/head you can have much better experience at other places. Food Quality : 6/10 Food Variety : 5/10 Management Behavior :...

I had high hopes for Laal Qilla Buffet in Lahore, but my experience was nothing short of a disaster. From start to finish, it was a complete letdown.

First of all, the ambiance was nothing like what was advertised. The place looked outdated, and the seating arrangements were cramped and uncomfortable. It felt more like a chaotic food court than a so-called "premium" buffet.

As for the food, it was shockingly underwhelming. The variety was limited, and the dishes that were available were bland and tasteless. The food was either too cold or, worse, overcooked. Many of the items were clearly stale or had been sitting out for too long, making it clear that quality was not a priority here. The so-called "signature dishes" were a complete joke – tasteless and poorly prepared.

Service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed untrained and uninterested in providing any level of customer care. We had to wait forever to get anyone's attention, and when we did, the servers were either rude or indifferent. The whole experience felt rushed and disrespectful.

To top it off, the hygiene standards were far from acceptable. The utensils and plates were not clean, and the floor was sticky. It's clear that the management doesn't care about maintaining even basic cleanliness or customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, Laal Qilla Buffet Lahore is a massive disappointment. I would never recommend it to anyone. Save your money and time, and choose somewhere else where the food and service are...

LalQila Restaurant in Lahore, Pakistan, is a culinary gem that takes you on a delightful journey through the rich flavors of Mughlai cuisine. The ambiance is reminiscent of a royal palace, with intricate decor and attention to detail that transport diners to a bygone era. The restaurant's commitment to providing an authentic experience is evident in every aspect.

The menu is a treasure trove of Mughlai delicacies, showcasing a wide array of kebabs, curries, and traditional desserts. The use of high-quality ingredients and authentic spices results in dishes that are bursting with flavor. The biryanis, in particular, are a highlight, offering a perfect blend of fragrant rice and succulent meat.

The service at LalQila is commendable, with attentive staff members who are well-versed in the menu and eager to enhance your dining experience. The live music performances add a touch of entertainment, complementing the overall atmosphere.

The spacious and well-decorated seating areas provide a comfortable setting for family gatherings, celebrations, or intimate dinners. LalQila's commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is also noteworthy.

While LalQila may be on the higher end in terms of pricing, the overall experience justifies the cost. If you're a fan of Mughlai cuisine and desire a dining experience that combines exquisite flavors with a regal ambiance, LalQila in Lahore is a...

I am giving one star to LalQila just because I don’t have an option to give zero stars. I recently visited this buffet restaurant for a dinner buffet, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. Let’s start with the parking situation—an absolute nightmare. There was no proper parking space, and the chaos outside really set the tone for the rest of the evening. Inside, the ambiance was just average at best. Nothing particularly inviting or well-maintained. The seating arrangements felt cramped, and the overall atmosphere lacked any charm or comfort. When it came to food, I had hoped the wide variety might make up for other shortcomings. They offered a decent spread including Chinese dishes, various chicken and mutton items, beef, BBQ, sweets, gol gappe, and all types of soft drinks. But sadly, quantity did not mean quality. The taste of nearly every dish was highly disappointing—bland, poorly cooked, and in some cases, outright cold. There wasn’t a single dish I could genuinely recommend. Ironically, the only thing I enjoyed during the meal was the water, and that says a lot. The service was normal—nothing to praise but nothing to complain about either. However, when you combine everything and add an overpriced tag to it, the result is an evening that felt like a complete waste of money. I won’t be returning and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Overall 6/10 We were a group of five persons went there for Hi-tea. Overall a satisfactory experience not so great not so bad. Firstly, the soup was not ready when we asked for soup they said soup will be served on table and on-demand. So, we asked and they served it like 1/2 hour later and that too with half bowl quantity each. (We all are crazy about soup even in summers) They quality of soup was okay. -Next, I tried fried fish which was not fresh. They've had it re-fried, once the old smelly went over then they started fresh fish which taste was just OK. -Arabian Lasagna was so bad -Hareesa & Chicken 🍗 were the best. 10/10 - unlimited drinks 10/10 - sandwich were good. - Chinese items were also 7/10 - Nachooos! Sauce was good but they are offering fried Samosa Patti in place of Nachoos this is disgusting... - rest I'm not fan of sweets so I didn't tried it much. Only tried Gola which shouldn't be rated I guess. - over crowded/congested (may be weekend) - Atmosphere was Ok - Service was average, every time I had to ask them to remove plates - asked multiple times for spoons & drink - Overall 6/10, I will not recommend this to anyone when we've better options available around. - They offered me 10% discount, thanks to their management. - tbh fish taste n Mera experience kharb krdia.... Sometimes one thing matter the most. But Hareesa came for rescue.

Visited @lalqilalahore last week to have their dinner buffet which was nothing but a gastronomic adventure that left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With an extensive offering of 75+ dishes spanning an impressive range of cuisines, it’s a paradise for food enthusiasts. From the aromatic soups to the vibrant chat stall and fresh salads, each course was a testament to the culinary mastery on display. The selection of barbecues was a highlight, with succulent bites from Pakistani, Mughlai, Chinese, Seafood, and Continental cuisines. The Mutton Kunna and Hareesa were rich in flavor, while the Chapli Kabab and Batair were delightful surprises. The Fried Prawns and Chicken Chapli Bun Kabab were cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef’s expertise. The desserts and ice cream were a sweet symphony that concluded the feast on a perfect note. The pricing was at 2990/- per head (inclusive of tax) for adults and a for kids it’s 1500/- per head. The option of three dinner slots allowed for flexibility in choosing a convenient time. The ambiance complemented the diverse menu, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Lal Qila’s dinner buffet is an experience that’s sure to linger in our memories, an absolute must for any avid food lover. . . . Follow @blogsbyfatima_ on Instagram for more reviews. .
