Appears clean at first glance but ground floor sitting area had flies. Went to washroom to wash hands and the toilets were dirty, toilet flush not operational hence surprise was previously left in toilet and therefore smelly. Ordered Mutton Karahi (main course) and Afghani beef boti (starter). Time estimate given:30-35 mins Afghan boti arrived just after 45 minutes. 4 skewers with 4 pieces of “boti” on each skewer. Tasteless and tiny. Would be very surprised if the entire contents of the 4 skewers were 100 grams. Suggestion: use only one skewer if you must but at least provide something worth eating. Mutton Karahi arrived another 15 minutes later. First impression: Didn’t we just eat this at Yasir broast the other night? Did they just order it from Yasir broast and serve us? It was very confusing. The size, taste, everything was the same except for a couple of tiny pieces of “dumba fats”. Suggestion: Send back the chef hired from Yasir broast next door. If this restaurant is being projected as a pakhtoon style eatery then serve the food accordingly, for clues- try Khan baba in choburji. You’re charging about the same so why shouldn’t your quality and quantity match too?
Server was courteous and attentive.
Food quality and quantity was a disappointment
Hygiene was appalling (toilets, seating floor are and tables/ chairs cleanliness etc)
Serving staff - 4 out of 5 Hygiene - 0 out of 5 Food - 1 out of 5 Ambience - 2 out 5

Read moreI recently visited Namak Nomadic Cuisine with my family. The restaurant has an interesting setup, with a ground floor seating area and a first-floor family hall with private cabins and floor seating. However, the interior design, although antique and unique, was let down by the smoke and uncleanliness, making it look messy.
The hall is quite small, leading to waits for tables during peak hours, and the noise level can be high. We had to wait half an hour for our order, which consisted of Namkeen Dumba Karahi, Bannu Chicken Pulao, and Kastoori Booti. The food taste was good, but the service was slow.
While the restaurant is reasonably priced, the overall experience was just average. If you're looking for a relaxing meal on a mattress, this might be the place for you. However, if you prefer a cozier atmosphere, you might want to look elsewhere.
We were excited to see the variety of naans offered, including Irani Naan, Qandhari Naan, and Garlic Naan. However, when we asked the staff about the differences, we were surprised to learn that the taste and ingredients are the same for all naans. The only difference is the size! It was disappointing to find that the unique names didn't reflect any distinct flavors or ingredients. Perhaps the kitchen could consider introducing actual variations to match the...
Read moreToday I opted for Take Away from Namak. There's always a room for improvement in foos quality that is why gave 4 stars. Otherwise, their taste is very good.
I had the Beef Chapali Kabab and Chicken Sajji, which were both incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection.
I had opted for take-away, but I could say that the dine-in experience is just as amazing. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening or a dinner with friends, and I can say that every detail was thoughtfully considered.
Overall, I highly recommend Namak Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The Beef Chapali Kabab and chicken Sajji with rice along with Uzbaki Nan are always my personal favorites, but I'm sure that everything on the menu is just as incredible. With attentive service, fantastic food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Namak Restaurant is definitely a must-visit spot.
P.S: I usually don't take pictures of food but the food taste compelled me to take pictures in the...
