Subject: Complaint Regarding Illegal and Immoral Activities and Physical Assault at Second Cup Coffee Company (Model Town Branch)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that took place on 30th October 2025 at approximately 10:30 PM at your Second Cup Coffee Company outlet located in Model Town.

During my visit with some friends for dinner, we observed that a group of individuals inside the café were allegedly involved in illegal brokerage activities, including arranging and promoting immoral and sexual services within the premises.

When we questioned these individuals about their wrongful actions, they became aggressive and hostile. They used abusive and vulgar language and physically assaulted us, causing humiliation, distress, and fear.

Furthermore, it appears that the management of the Model Town branch may be involved in or providing protection to these individuals. It is also suspected that another unidentified person is operating and supervising these illegal and immoral activities from within the same location.

This incident has caused us great concern and raises serious questions about the integrity, safety, and reputation of Second Cup Coffee Company, as such unethical and criminal behavior appears to be occurring under its name.

I therefore request the Head Office to immediately investigate this matter and take strict disciplinary and legal action against all those responsible — including the perpetrators, any supporting staff, and branch management — to ensure that such unlawful and immoral activities are stopped permanently.

I am willing to cooperate fully with any investigation and can provide further details, witness information, and statements if required.

Really dissapointed today. I have always been an admirer of the food, ambiance, and customer service that Second Cup provides at all of their branches. But unfortunately Second Cup has also stooped down to money grabbing antics like so many other restaurants have in this 16% vs 5% GST fiasco. Just like any other day we went there, ordered our usuals and enjoyed the food and the ambiance. When I asked for the bill, I saw the 16% GST and asked the server to amend the bill as I am going to pay by card. He said "sir we only deal in cash". I was dumbfounded by this statement and asked him, "bhai Kab say?". He repeated, "we only deal in cash sir". I asked him don't you even have a machine on the premises? And I got a typical money grabbing answer which was "sir machine mein error aa raha hai. Places like Second Cup are the last ones you'd expect these cheap tactics from. By refusing me my right to pay by card, I was denied to avail 11% GST relaxation I was entitled to and 10% discount I was offered by my bank on the use of my card in this restaurant. This rant is not about me paying 2700 when I was only supposed to pay around 2000. This is about such good places failing their customers and disrespecting their loyalties by denying them their basic rights to grab some extra money from them. What good that delicious food will be if I am sitting there despising their unethical practices. Lost two regular customers today. P.S. Never support or revisit restaurants which deny you card payments saying "sir machine mein error...

13 april around 5pm me and my wife entered this branch to have our lunch . We entered and about to be seated the front table of entrance door which seemed good to us . Waiter on the door came to us and ordered us to stand up and told us you cant sit here this is 4 persons sitting and you cant sit here go and sit on the top corner place which was not comfortable chairs for us. We ignored the behaviour , we followed his rude instructions and sat on his desired chairs. Lated i felt it is quite uncomfortable chair i demanded him that this place is not comfortable for us can you please give us an alternative place to sit. what he did was surprising , he just moved my chair a little bit vertically and told me to sit at same place again. Then a lady came for order and we requested same thing to her and she gave us our desired place to sit. Other single people also were sitting on 4 persons sitting chilling . But this behaviour is not accepetable at all. Atleast train your staff according to your standards. Otherwise dont hire who dont know the reputation...
